adding hard drive to windows 7

ok guys, just received a hard drive from a member of the site, plugged in rebooted....the drivers window pops up , says finished installing drivers, reboot required....reboot...no hard drive in my computer, but it is in the device manager and bios? any help? bios set as native ide........

Type in management, go to storage, then disc management, find the drive make it active. All done.

Typing in management is in the search bar.
 
well this is fanphukintastic....was checking to make sure the cables were seated properly, slipped and pulled thecable on my main windows drive and broke the gdamn tab off the sata connector....wtf..WTF!!!! btw, thanks for the reply
 
got it to work...but looks like i will be buying a new hd soon... :(
