That's what this is, right? It's not on the main page. I'm sorta fine with it, I just to make it clear that it's an ad for the forums.

Idea: find a store and give TPU members a discount, or something. Or just do good deals for members (maybe even exclusively members above a certain post count/join date).

ooh .. those are geotargeted, but the forum doesn't account for that. will look into ways to fix

These bottom barrel quality product deals really shouldn't be given space imho. Be a respectable site. Don't peddle Chinese noname junk. I've gotten over the way overpriced Windows and Office deals but this is a new low.

If TPU has financial problems... let us know.
i'd happily support this website if you'd stop posting stuff like this:

Those are (I assume) the reason it's not in financial trouble.

Also:

I presume supporters don't see those threads, here on the forum anyway.
i know about patreon but i don't have a credit card anymore and i hate paypal with a passion.

Quite the opposite. Business is better than ever, but are always willing to try new things

They don't on the frontpage, but I think they do see them here.

Yeah I do.

Its not a showstopper for me, I pick my battles these days. But yeah :D

This is fixed now, I deleted a bunch of existing threads, future ones shouldn't show up at all

So only specific geographical areas get ads masquerading as news?

They are clearly marked as such on the frontpage. It was just an oversight that I forgot that for every news post a forum thread exists

It depends. Ads don't appear in the frontpage at all, but we can find the ad posts in the recently posted threads feed. Regardless, they stay out of our way for the most part and even before I became a patron, I never found the ads on TPU to be intrusive.

All in all W1zz was generous to open up the early access review section to all supporters regardless of tier, so that alone is an incentive for you fellas to chip in . :)

Ahhh ok that's the confusion.
