I need a CPU cooler. I want an air cooler. I have an AM5 CPU, the 7600X. I considered the AK500 Digital because it displays temperatures, but is it any good? I hope you all can help me. I don't have a good understanding of PC parts. If the cooler can be black, I would love that so it can match my PC. RGB is fine too.

Yep. Your options are Thermalright, Thermalright, or if you don't like those models, the other Thermalright. If you still don't like that one, or can't source it, I hear they'll be releasing another 57 models in the next year (again [that's a joke]), so you'll probably have a decent option from...Thermalright.

I still have my C14 because matx desktop case(s), but at this point I can't say that I disagree with you (given there are all sorts of [even smaller] cases now that will accommodate them).

You can do it for free with using a software with an OSD.

But it's not a bad cooler, personally I'd get the cheaper one without that display.

No worth paying extra for EVO that is marginally better/worse depending on whoever is doing the testing.

This one shows delivery on 27th of May for me.

Meanwhile EVO is listed at €72 which makes no sense to me.

When Thermalright dropped the ball years ago, it left a void and Noctua filled it. That's the way I see it, IDK how close it is to the reality.

It's interesting you see it that way, as I do too. Before my detour into DIY water-cooling and phase-change, I really loved their old stuff when I was first starting out. This was...a long time ago.

I didn't know others felt the same way. At the time I think many people championed other things (especially around the time of the Arctic freezer etc), but they were pretty great back then too, imho.

Good times. Reborn, I guess.

I used to have a Thermalright SI-128 and was happy with it.

We'll see if TR can make it this time, or if they'll drown in their own surplus of models and variants..
