So, my AIW is doing this, out of the box, most current drivers.

Can't play games or anything like that, or even move windows around, those damn little lines blow up everywhere.

Any idea?

Ok a little update here.

If I drop the memory down to 333 w/ ati tool & keep core at 499.50, the problem vanishes, with maybe just a few pixellation errors in games (particularly bad in F.E.A.R compared to Far Cry or Oblivion).

Example:

But still - why should I have to drop memory down at all to get this card to function (almost)properly?

Sorry for the late reply.

Looks like the memory on the card is at fault. There's no way of fixing that :(

How old is it? Can you RMA the card?

Well was this problem ever resolved? My card had similar problems, resolved by using the latest Omega drivers. For some reason every ATI driver I tried caused all sorts of problems....just like you reported.
