Wich one is better to a HD5830, if it fits? The XFX cooler is a sh... and i wanna to change mine. You also can say beter options to put in my newest baby.

YEAH :rockout:

I don't think the Vortexx will fit, I'm not sure about the Spire.

The Vortexx I have cooling an 8800GT and it works amazingly well for the price I paid (thanks Pig!)...I would get another if I could find one cheap enough. :)

OFF: A ZALMAN Z-Machine GV1000 fits?

But the compability isn´t about the distance between the cooler holes? Anyone who have a 5830 or a 5870 can tell me how long it is?

No, i dont have a 5830 YET.

Can I ask why you need anything other than stock cooling???

It performs fine and you wont see much better temperatures from aftermarket coolers...save your money and buy some ma-ru-jew-ana. :)

The 5800 cards have 53mm mounting holes, the same as the 4800 series.

So technically anything that would fit a 4870 would fit all the 5800 cards, just be sure to cool all the mosfets!

I just wanna change the cooler because it is very similar to the "new" 4870 cooler, and some friends told me that the temps of the 4870 reached 95°C at full work. I´m gonna put the 5830 at full work, and i dont want it hot.

Here in Brazil you can´t find a 5830 of another brand if not XFX. I´m not telling that XFX is bad, but the coolers are.

YEAH :rockout:

Your friend have old advice, and even in hot ol' Brazil the stock cooler of a 5830 will cool just fine.

Today I received my Akasa Vortexx Neo... I'm overly impressed by the difference!!

Fair enough stock cooking is efficient enough unless you are a hard core gamer or serious enthusiast! What should always be taken into account though IMO is the fact that a cooler chip generally will have a longer life span than a hotter one.

I'm amazed to see that my Vortexx Neo has dropped idle temps from 62 - 64 to 40 - 41, not only has the idle temps amazed me, I decided to try out some game (Colin McRae Dirt 2) temps only reached upto a max of 51 instead of the rather hot 81 - 84.

Another plus over a stock cooler is if you have a side window on your case you get to see some pretty lights from the cooler, the down side is they only do one colour... blue, however for me that isn't a problem as my case is pretty much just blue and green lighting :)

I really don't regret buying it in the slightest, for the price I paid £17.99 I think it's a great upgrade from my stock cooler.

Has alot more pro's from this than con's :)
