Addition to our product range! The EPDM Tube from Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series is now also available in the sizes 5/3 mm and 16/10 mm in various lengths. The EPDM Tube is characterized by its high resistance to acids, bases and external influences and has an exceptional longevity compared to conventional PVC tubes. EPDM Tubes are form-stable, yet have excellent bending properties as well as flexibility, allowing effortless installation even with tighter bending radii. The matte black tubing with its discreet velvet look will quickly become an eye-catcher in any water-cooled PC. Especially for industrial customers, Alphacool's EPDM Tube is also available as a 50 m roll in sizes 5/3, 11/8, 13/10 and 16/10 mm.

Features
  • available in sizes 5/3, 11/8, 13/10 & 16/10 mm
  • all variants are offered in 1 m, 3 m & 50 m lengths
  • durable & temperature resistant
  • dimensionally stable with tight bending radii
  • excellent pliability & flexibility
  • resistant to acids, bases and external influences
  • material: ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM, without talc)

Thank you. Im glad you're proof reading these :peace:

But regardless, it never ceases to amaze how lazy marketing is. Wow. Its an instant turn off for me, every time, if a company can't even produce correct English.

I don't actually proofread news posts, just reviews and articles for now. There's an AC rep somewhere on these forums but I can't recall the handle.

I think the problem is simply that we don't have a native speaking person in marketing. And it's always interesting how much some pronunciations in English differ from German. We spend about 70% of our time talking and writing only in English, but there are always things that come up that are not formulated correctly.
Very difficult for us are some statements that are kept very short in English and are almost twice as long in German.

@EddyAlphacool Do you make/sell fittings for that 5/3mm tubing? Or would that be reliant on third party industrial (pneumatic or water) fittings? I can definitely see a use for those hose sizes in some SFF builds.

I would rethink the function of your dashboard. It has to start several times a day with the many errors in the network. :toast::D:D:D

Techpowerup only copies what comes in as a newsletter. It's up to the manufacturers to do it right. I don't know of any site in the world that posts news so quickly. Sometimes the news are already online while our newsletter distribution list is still sending out the mails. The record was once at just under 4 minutes after the start of sending the PR mails. I would claim that this is a world record for news sites without complete automation!

@Valantar
At the moment we do not offer special connectors for this. The hoses are currently more for the industry and our MCX coolers and connectors. But I will check if it is worth to offer something here. But that will take until next year, when we should decide to also offer normal fittings for it. Otherwise, however, the hose should fit all connections from other manufacturers who offer connections for these dimensions.

I'm curious how this compares to Tygon Norprene. I'm tired of gradually discolored flex tubing and plasticizer leeching, so I'm now down to Tygon Norprene or EPDM for a simple, nearly no-maintenance replacement tubing as the budget option (vs hardline).

Pretty sure, a generic spelling and grammar checker would solve a lot of problems for everyday use already. A company releasing press stuff without such basic checks or even considering a native speaking freelance proofreader is a bit of a PR-NoGo. An official company representative releasing a statement justifying it in such a way should cause a slight blood pressure raise in the PR department. Guess we found the next thing AC is skimping on. ;)

Sadly, so so many German companies with international public presences do. Speaking from experience, had to convince a previous project manager to at least consider a proofreader for cost estimates and contract offers. :(

Much better than a lot of the Engrish that shows up in product documentation. As long as they make good products, I'm OK with some imperfections in translation.

Even UK and US will spell the same word differently. You can still recognise what is being said.

Blaming @W1zzard for that? :roll:

Some of us dont know the process, we just spam-refresh the home page waiting for the news to appear. (Those of us with nothing better to do :D )

When I see how many mistakes there are in various manuals of various brands and how many mistakes happen here also in other languages..... if it is our only problem that we sometimes misspell a word, then this is not really a relevant issue for me. You can also exaggerate things.
Even when I read books, whether in English or German, they are full of mistakes. And there are highly paid editors sitting there who do nothing but check. Mistakes will always happen, that's human.

@Valantar
I decided today that we will make 5/3mm fittings. But we're more likely to have those ready next year. We won't be able to do it before then. But for now we'll just start with straight and 90° angles and see how they go.

I think the problem is simply that we don't have a native speaking person in marketing
Have you considered working with an external service to help with content quality? I would assume language errors do have a negative effect on reputation, so should be worth investing a bit of money into.

We've also had native speakers (and we have a few right now but not in marketing) and we've had an agency elsewhere. Mistakes still slip through, it doesn't make a difference in the grand scheme of things. I'd rather save the money and put it into other things that are more important.
In addition, we have had extremely bad experiences with agencies. No matter for what. Texts, PR, website, SEO..... the list is long. The results were rarely worth the money. Mostly we had only high costs for results which did not reflect the expenses in the least. No matter if under Alphacool or our subsidiaries. And if it's only about 1-2 errors in a text (we don't have errors in it every time) ... I can live with it. I don't spend thousands of dollars a year to correct such small things. Because that would also mean, we pull the prices for the products again. I prefer to save in the presentation and have products that can be a little cheaper in the end.

@Valantar
I decided today that we will make 5/3mm fittings. But we're more likely to have those ready next year. We won't be able to do it before then. But for now we'll just start with straight and 90° angles and see how they go.

Not my Intention to blow stuff out of proportion for the sake of drama. Just telling, that my experience, be it in Retail or B2B, showed that it does have an impact on how you are perceived and judged as a brand/company by customers and partners.

Totally agree, nearly all of them suck big time

Send me your next PR (w1zzard@techpowerup.com), I'll forward to our proofreader and return back to you with differences highlighted, for free.
If you like what he did, make an offer how much that is worth to you.

I gotta say I love how this thread has evolved into a sort of crowd-sourced "let's fix Alphacool's language barrier issues" workshop :p
