I've been out of the tweaking game for a long time(my PC was a Z77, and i've somewhat set up a B450 r3700x at work) and got my new gigabyte X670 board... and OMG there are dozens and dozens of settings(it even looks like an engineering sample with so many options, the promontory settings page alone are 2 menues with at least 50 settings duplicated for each prom21), lots of them even duplicated in other menues, with no to poor online or context help.

I've googled for a walkthrough/guide even searched youtube, specifically for gigabyet BIOS but i couldn't find anything.

¿is there a comprehensive guide on what each setting specifically does?

No online guide I know of. Best to do is read the manual (which doesn't explain a lot) and google each setting your interested in.

All the gigabyte manuals say about the BIOS is essentially "press DEL to enter BIOS", pretty much that's where it ends...

I honestly don't know where to start on explaining things to someone who's never entered a BIOS before.

There's just so many things and most of my pretty much not important can be left on auto. The only thing you really need to do is enable XMP memory profile. Leave everything else on auto and enjoy the computer.

¿where did i say i haven't entered a bios before?, quite the opposite, just not on "modern" platforms or consumer platforms as i haven't used/sold any of them

You can search on YouTube for a BIOS tutorial/overview video for your board specifically, if exists...
But eventually you will have to get to know the functionality and behavior of a Ryzen CPU in general and Zen4 specifically for more details.
Maybe 80~90% of the modern UEFI (BIOS is old name) settings are useless to the majority of users.

it has proven to be useful for a couple things whilst i continue investigating every setting.
