So, this is the MyDigitalSSD OTG, USB 3.0. Sells at $169, use code 55OFFOTG for $55 off, enjoy...

Product Description
Capacity:512GB

MyDigitalSSD is proud to introduce the first device that finally lives up to the usb3.0 SSD hype, the OTG USB 3.0 Mini solid state drive (MSSD). The OTG MSSD is an ultra-portable plug and play drive that offers total USB 3.0 5Gbps performance with any USB attached SCSI protocol (UASP) compliant system resulting in real SSD speeds up to 460mb/s. This pocket-sized wonder reduces wait times and maximizes bandwidth utilization, enabling faster and more efficient transfers while helping lower CPU utilization for extended battery life for on-the-go users. With 4 times the speed of a traditional hard drive, users can run operating systems, play games, stream media, and utilize programs directly from your OTG MSSD, comparatively, with this power, the OTG would be rated 3000x if it were a flash drive. The OTG MSSD guarantees complete compatibility with all USB devices. USB 3.0 Users will see blazing speeds up to 210mb/s and usb2.0 Users up to 38mb/s. UASP compliant for maximum SSD and USB 3.0 Speeds - up to 50 times faster than an HDD (random 4k). Run operating systems, games, media, programs, and more directly from your OTG MSSD. Eliminate worry about the safety of your files with thanks to SSD technology combined with a tough outer case designed to withstand the day-to-day bumps, shakes, and drops that come with on-the-go computing without data loss.

Damn! I don't even need a new flash drive, but that's a seriously tempting price!

The promo code expired, but the price dropped to $125. Pretty not bad still.

Wow, so it seems this is an mSATA SSD, using Toshiba MLC, that is put in a USB enclosure with a USB3.0 to mSATA adapter. I'm very tempted to buy this, just to rip it open and pull out the Toshiba SSD and use it in my mSATA ultrabook to replace the 128GB drive I have it in now...

That was my thought earlier, wasn't sure if it was possible since I've seen Western Digital sticking the USB 3.0 connector on the 2.5" HDD controller board.

Not bad.

Here is a ton better deal if your close to a Microcenter: http://www.microcenter.com/product/467512/M600_512GB_SATA_III_M2_SSD

Smoking price at $75!

Of course it's in store only and tons of them are sold out.

Thankfully I don't see things like this while there's still stock at my local MicroCenter....

I go in there and come out with other stuff I don't have any current real need for. Having the items physically in my hands, it's harder to put them down over seeing it on a monitor screen and simply closing the window.

The one I had died after a month.
