There is now an Amazon Basics CPU air cooler that works with Intel Socket LGA1700 and AMD Socket AM5. Called simply the CPU Air Cooler (model: RR-H410-20PC-AS), it features a conventional aluminium fin-stack tower-type design, and uses four copper heatpipes that make direct contact with the CPU at the base. A 92 mm fan ventilates the cooler. This fan is RGB illuminated and includes a controller. The fan turns at speeds ranging between 600 to 2,000 RPM, pushing up to 34.73 CFM of airflow, and features a conventional rifle bearing.

The cooler itself measures 102 mm x 83.4 mm x 136 mm (WxDxH), and Amazon Basics claims that it can handle thermal loads of up to 200 W. Amazon Basics usually brings otherwise obscure white-box brands into the market under its marquee so customers with confidence in the Amazon brand can buy them. In this case, the retail giant roped in no less than Cooler Master as the OEM for this cooler. The cooler itself appears to be a rebadged version of the Hyper H410R RGB, but with updated retention modules to support the latest CPU socket types. Amazon Basics is pricing this at $28.47. You can catch a review at the source link.

With Thermalright & ID Cooling around, I don't think the cost of this makes sense. It is not of their quality (fan, finish).

Looks very cheap. I'd rather pay a little bit more and get something by Deep Cool. Like the DeepCool AK620 which is about $30 more and is much better quality.

The 1st april is over now !
No more fool's joke ....
Euh .... wait a minute ....

I wonder who is the manufacturer behind this aircooler ?
I predict a case, maybe an AIO WC ... why not somme SSD too ?

looks like a cooler master fan design from the old days to me.

so my guess is cooler master.

yesterday I was thinking if Amazon Basics making PC's parts, one of things is air cooler may will similar to CM hyper 212, so my guess wasn't so far from actual product

if I can find a mounting kit for my old Sunbeam would be better than this.

That feels like either a copy or actual CM cooler being rebadged as Amazon basics cooler.

No way in hell will this thing will dissipate 200W I'd like to see 3rd party review data that proves it can handle it fine

Maybe the Fan has an "overdrive" mode to 20.000 rpm

If the OEM is Coolermaster, at least the build quality should be decent. A rifle bearing fan is better than a sleeve bearing fan I'd expect. It's still not attractive for the price though, considering what other options are available. Thermalright and Deepcool have a bunch.

Could be either a CM or a Snoman :D

For the price point it looks reasonable.

Err.. that is basically a Cooler Master H410R:

what's interesting is I took a quick look on amazon and newegg for the cooler master version and both were out of stock

not basically, exactly is H410R RGB from CM

Cuz this model at this point have been discontinued so I was very surprised that Amazon is selling it.
The H410R have many version, H410R, H410R RGB, H412R but these have ceased to exist.
By modern standards this CPU cooler isn't sufficient unless powering lower end quad core CPUs in MATX/ITX form factor.
