AMD Driver question, should I disable 'Surface Format Optimization'?

It says this helps reduce vram usage, but honestly with 16gb vram I don't really care about that now...

So is this just an outdated setting? It's enabled by default on AMD Radeon driver installs... any thoughts on this welcome... never heard of it before now.
 
my goodness I miss console gaming...
 
if anyone is wondering, disable surface format optim. is the way to go. its an old feature for old games. doesn't really apply to modern systems.

so uncheck this, as it is default checked on in AMD Radeon settings. lol
