AMD released a quick follow up to Tuesday's (02/02) Radeon Software Crimson Edition (RSCE) 16.1.1 Beta release; with a Hotfix release. Version 16.1.1 Hotfix includes AMD CrossFire profiles for "Fallout 4," in addition to "Rise of the Tomb Raider," and in particular a flickering issue which was noticed on CrossFire machines running "Fallout 4." The rest of its feature-set is identical to that of the 16.1.1 Beta. Grab the driver for your OS from the link below.

Good, lets hope this works for Fallout 4 this time so I can rock out in Eyefinity or play at 1600P!

Given that this old Bethesda gfx engine was never programmed with dual graphics card support from either GPU maker in mind, they must be doing some deep level hacks to get it running.

I hope its better than Skyrims SLI profile, that is so poor I prefer to force the game to run on a single card from within the Nvidia control panel.

If you run it with SLI, its a juddering, stuttering mess with crazy frame jumps all over the place, forced into single card, its smooth as silk and on my Nvidia 970, can run all the way up to 2880x1620 at a rock solid 60fps.

..Bethesda really do need to start using a more up to date engine for their next games.

Nah, Betheseda is fine spanking along an engine that technically dates back to Oblivion, if not possibly older. Obviously it has shown no weaknesses at all, bug free!

Dude did AMD like attack you or ruin your life?

Was playing fallout 4 with only one card anyway due to it not working at 144hz so I just kept it at 1440p 60hz which one card did just fine. Might test this for Rise of the Tomb Raider since I just got into that game.

Hypocrisy makes the world go round.... both ways.

It indeed does. Especially when the person you quoted was try'n to make it seem like people using AMD cards were complaining about file size when that conversation which I believe he is try'n to reference was by a Nvidia user.

Funny how he tries so hard.

Dude did AMD like attack you or ruin your life?

Apparently so.

For me, I remember having to leave the computer on and connected over night to download an 80MB game because it would take hours over 28.8k. I think that I can patiently wait for it to download in 16-20 seconds, even a few minutes wouldn't bother me because I remember how it used to be.

These were indeed the good old days!

The rest of the comments are fun because I wasn't even having a dig at AMD, says more about those taking offence really.

See, me having a dig at an nvidia user = equals me attacking AMD.

It clearly required no effort at all.

If it wasn't a dig at AMD and was a actual dig at Nvidia, Whats it doing here..? Trolling.

It looks more like your typical attempt.

Nvidia users get upset when drivers have bugs in them, some nvidia users get upset when they get fixed quickly but then have to download the whole driver again.

I asked a question to see if AMD users handle the process with more class.... apparently not.

First you said.

Presumably some here get upset having to download 300mb+ again?

That would insinuate someone was complaining. Then you changed it to taking a dig at an Nvidia user. In that thread, the accused never said he had an issue with the files size it was insinuated by another member. Which you now have attached the two together.

Like I said its sad because it doesn't make sense either way.

No your weren't, you were trolling/trying to be funny same with your last comments on any thread involving AMD. The only person here who needs to handle things with more class is you. It got old a long time ago dude...

Actual thread post, I don't know what changed if anything for Tomb Raider since this driver was more aimed at Fallout 4 but the CFX driver is actually working so I can run the game at Ultra 1440p 144hz very well now.

AMD publishes too many drivers. A clear sign of decay?

To me, when you say "A clear sign of decay," I get the impression that AMD drivers are getting worst as t approaches the future. My meaning is that AMD Drivers either loose performance or have more errors, or are less stable as time goes by. With AMD, on the good side, I would say that they are pushing out hotfixes and betas more than NVidia. In addition, my opinion, they are responding to their driver issues more frequently. On the bad side, AMD could be spending more money paying programmers to recode or correct their driver issues. They could have a greater tendency to make errors and snafus when they launch a WHQL or Crimson Driver. NVidia could be the inverted version of AMD. They would release drivers less frequently, but they have more coders debugging and proofing their drivers before they get released through the NGE (Nvidia Geforce Experience). I assume that NVidia has spent less time fixing their own drivers after release versus AMD.

Seems AMD users/fans are somewhat sensitive these days...

I feel the replies of two or more parties doesn't constitute the voice that represents the AMD user/fan base. Their is probably a small portion of both bases on the TPU forums who mingle amongst the rest, some that converse on other forums, and those who don't waste a minute of their lives discussing a point or opinion on any website because they only care about playing their PC Games. The same can be said about NVidia fans/users. I guess what I am really trying to say is the conversations between 2 to 4 members on this forum, should not be assumed as the voice or entity representing AMD consumers as a single entity. So we shouldn't label other AMD and NVidia users/fans with a false or inaccurate judgement/stigmata.

@Kanan,

This is kind of proof to my point. In context, fluffmeister is doing an independent study on human psychology versus the way NVidia and AMD consumers act with respect to a driver update???? It seems like his findings are very bias....

You're really a king in saying few things in many words, aren't you. a) I know. b) my post was somewhat humourus and not deadly serious like what you are trying to do here (but is rather waste of time if you ask me). I thought that was clear enough, even without any stupid smilies.

@Kanan,

This is kind of proof to my point. In context, fluffmeister is doing an independent study on human psychology versus the way NVidia and AMD consumers act with respect to a driver update???? It seems like his findings are very bias....
Studies on human psychology aren't important nor relevant here. If you want to learn about humans, I suggest go out in the real life or socialize in the forums, this here is rather... not exactly optimal for it. Also you don't need to proof your arguments to me, as I really don't care.

This discussion is worthless.

To me, when you say "A clear sign of decay,"
It was just a copy&paste

Something else to everybody. Please verify if true of false. I was reading that this hotfix was necessary because the last patch for Fallout came out the same day that AMD's last driver was published(Monday?) ruining the CF support that was there and so, this isn't a fix that fixes a stupid bug in AMD's driver but more a hotfix for something that Fallout's last patch broke. I am not playing Fallout, so I don't know how much accurate this is.

I can say for sure that this edition fully resolves the no audio after sleep issue...
and I have to say.
About Fucking Time AMD!!!
4 months....for 4 months if my monitor went to sleep or the PC did I'd have to restart...or turn off the AMD audio service and then restart it but it was faster to restart..
But it's over!...finally finally over.
So Thank you I guess....Dicks
