I want to know what they are capable of clocking to.......

1Ghz out of the box and if 7970's are getting a 1.3ghz treatment by some AIB partners, who knows how much this can take.

It even comes in a qty of 28... for the new 28nm process?

Lol talk about a collector's item! This is the spirit of marketing right here! It's funny, it even kinda pokes fun at themselves, and is friendly and competetive at the same time.

I love it.

I find it hysterical how bad AMD's marketing team is year after year...

^^

Says the Troll. :rockout:

You need to add to the Vote that this is Funny.

A Cable is a message.

AS in "Hey Nvidia! TROLLED!"

lulz.

The pills symbolize a day nVidia cards are not sold. Every day it's(AMD) going to eat at away @ nV sales, one day at a time.

I think AMD finally understands how much impact selling the first 1 GHz GPU is going to have on consumer mind share. 7770 is going to be the level of card that is stuffed into Dell/HP boxes more often than not, and nVidia doesn't have a card that competes....at least...not yet.

Im Pretty Stoked about the "Triple Seven 0H!"

While I was reading... "label directed them to insert the blue capsules inside it to the heat vents of the graphics card, when benchmarking".

My first thought was a "heat-melt capsules" (wax) that reviewer could use for both the AMD card, and any 1Ghz card Nvidia might come out with. Then run a game that is really stressing both (not like a Furmark) and see when/which melted it first along with which had better FPS.

That would've been a real engineering / marketing coup, and really made a statement to AMD’s prowess. Although as AMD and we have yet to really be sure what Kepler will be in terms of clock/power/performance it's too early to gamble that fiercely, as we're probably 3 months away from seeing GK106 offerings, a stunt like that would have been way to ball’sy. :D

My thinking exactly!

Look it at this Way, NV is late to the party and wont get the good Snatch! LOL

They're not for eating: they're for the GPU's fans.

I'm sure W1zzard will add it's result to either the positive or negative @ the review's conclusion ...

What in the f does this have anything to do with a video card?

Are they trying to tell you that you need the blue pill at the age of 30 because you just bought an AMD card?

nVidia pulled a similar stunt a ways back(2007, i think), with green "pills". When I had dinner with the nV marketing team when they were here in town, I was told that they bought like 5 states out of green Jelly Belly cndy, and then had an issue crossing the border into Canada with a suitcase full of green "pills".

That's why i call this a troll against NV....

I also voted that this was a fail, because it's hardly original, considering nV did kinda the same thing, although I guess many do not remember.

I find it funny where SLI lays at along with Physx when NV tried marketing both just for them to not be a long term effect, NV cant produce a Chipset for Intel at all...

Wasn't aware of this but am unable to see the pics :(

In any case, i still think it's a good marketing stunt. Troll or not, i'm sure you must admit it's very funny.

Reminds me of that shreddies ad where they "revolutionized" their cereal by introducing diamond shaped shreddies as opposed to square ones and, to me anyway, that's a totally brilliant ad and shows the power of creative advertising.

You can see the ad i'm referring to in here, from 11:58 to roughly 15:00.

Yeah, I'm not saying at all that I didn't like it.

I'd rather this type of marketing than the usual.

Intel's "Secret Mission" 1155 campaign was pretty good too.

I complained about the 7970 not being a 1GHz GPU, considering the OCs. I think this card is a much better option, considering the price I expect. We'll see where that ends up soon though, i guess.

Agreed. If you haven't yet, suggest you check out the video in my previous post from 11:58 to almost 15:00, or the whole video: the particular video section i singled out really is hysterical.
