AMD's current-gen flagship graphics card, the Radeon RX 6900 XT, can be had for as low as $949, with US retailer Newegg listing a GIGABYTE RX 6900 XT Gaming OC graphics card at that price. This can be further lowered to $899 by availing Newegg's mail-in rebate. The GIGABYTE RX 6900 XT Gaming OC is the company's value-ended custom-design RX 6900 XT product positioned a notch below the company's AORUS Master card, but is still factory-overclocked, with its cooler posting lower temperatures than the reference-design. Catch our review of this card.

A drop in the pricing of the RX 6900 XT means that AMD's new RX 6950 XT could be right around the corner, with some sources claiming the card to match up to the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, NVIDIA's fastest graphics card from this generation. The RX 6900 XT is still a mighty fast graphics card, trading blows with the RTX 3080 Ti.

Update May 5th: The price is up slightly to $999 ($949 with MIR), our assessment still holds.

Good to see the lower prices

Went to my local brick n mortar store yesterday and they had a combined 5 open box 6600 and 6600xts that were all under MSRP. 6700xt model that was MSRP just sold out but they had 2 models that were only 9% above MSRP in stock

The problem is we are used to these prices and consider them as 'normal'. Not excluding Nvidia, might be even worse.

i wouldn't buy any rtx3000 or rx6000 since they're mining card from the manufacturers themself or at distributor......that happens in vietnam and china also taiwan

All well and good but Gigabyte is a pita to try to get a warranty claim out of. I have one of their 750 watt power supplies. and the serial number is on their list as a problematic unit, and have been trying to get it replaced for over 4 months. They still havent approved it. Gigabyte WAS my favorite brand but no more. Oh and I logged onto AMD.com Tuesday morning and their Q was running. I picked up a 6800XT at msrp.

So that's €950, which is only €100 more expensive than a RTX 3070 here which still costs €850.

Newegg prices, not a point in directly converting to EU resellers.

But anyway, even considering the Gigabyte... this is good price for the *current market*. Cap the FPS with Freesync and run a custom fan profile, should do part of the trick... or try to find a waterblock and slap it on if you can.

Hahaha, poor sucka doing 1:1 conversion, not in today market. No, that would be around €1100 in EU with VAT applied.

People went outside and spent money there instead of on computer gear... plus crypto I guess.

Kinda funny in a way that in my country the Sapphire Toxic 'air cooled' 6900XT is cheaper than this Gigabyte model, tho cheaper in a sense that its still ~1400$ here with VAT included.

AMgreeDia still milking, plays Time Spy well though apparently.

And yet the cheapest 6900 in Europe I can find is over 1100€, while 3070 is sub 700€.

Taxes make it over 1000 usd so this report is silly if you ask me, wake me when there is a considerable drop.

It just means yes the 6950 is on the way to take the spot of the 6900 so the 6950 will be the same price (over 1200)...

It's affecting other cards too, the 6800xt sapphire pulse with promo code is $799 now, first time below $800 in over a year.

Just a little longer.....

Always had good with claims from Gigabyte. Even used to take them to their US office since I live near it. However, they have changed with time. Their main US office used to have a mini museum in it where visitors could see some of the history of Gigabyte. They then got rid of it, locked down their doors. When you'd get inside to drop off after being buzzed in, the interior was featureless. Employees looked irritated they had to even meet you to handle your RMA.

Worst US office though is ASrock. They just slap a cheap ASrock logo on the door and then the interior looks like an office from the 90s that hadn't been remodeled. The woman working the front desk also really couldn't be bothered to help you. Didn't know what she was doing but you sit there for minutes waiting before she finally pops out of some random door and looks at you like you have interrupted her nap time.

Viewsonic was pretty nice. Actually have a bird cage in their front entrance with the colorful birds that make up their logo and branding. Well, at one point. Long time ago. They moved numerous times over the years.

Asus ROG Strix RTX 3070 which is the model i want, still goes for €835 here in the Netherlands.

I'm willing to pay €650, but seeing it's 2 years old tech already i'm not even gonna bother getting a 3000 series anymore.

And which Universe can this true marvel be found? Not seeing it in this poor excuse of a country i still live in...

Microcenter has had 6900xt below $1000 for about a week now.

But good to see it dropping on Newegg as well.

Better buy the Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB.

Just no, those sales scream red flag Bad Deal all over them. Just like those overpriced cars on gallery sales.

True but I wonder what will happen to all of those unsold graphics cards? There are dozens of retailers with many unsold cards...

yep, I ain't buying shit this gen, its all used miner cards, even if they are sold as new, I am highly skeptical because I 100% know this kind of shit has been happening.
