So, my 280x came in the mail on Tuesday. Came with my voucher for 3 games as well. Part of the reason (a small bit) I chose a Radeon card was because of this very offer. Now I'm feeling very much flustered and wondering if I should have got an Nvidia card (like I was originally going to) instead, because ever since Tuesday when the card came, I've been pretty much in the dark over an issue wherein I tried to validate my account with AMD - one way to do so is by entering your email and a mobile number which I don't have. The other way is to use only your email; using this method results in your account being "on hold for 24 hours" - using only my email. It's been damn well over a few days now and I still haven't received an email, and I even sent multiple complaints to AMD and still nothing! Apparently, over at the official AMD forums, lots of other people are having the same problem as I am, so I don't feel so "alone" in that sense, but I'm getting really fed up at this point.

To be honest, I would just say "*uck it" and return the card to newegg, but I already registered the card with Sapphire via their Sapphire Gold Club and scratched off the voucher for my 3 free games, so I figure I'm stuck with it and fighting with AMD. Is this ultimately the case?

I knew I should have just went with a 760 Striker.... :banghead:

LOL you're letting a tech issue over free games cloud the fact you bought a great card? Surely you have games you could already being playing on it...

I see what you're saying. Still, just is a little bit frustrating. I honestly don't think it's something that would make me ultimately send the card back. I was just pissed when I wrote the OP, lol. :ohwell:

Glad thats relevant thank you for your contribution.

Anyways OP I would just try to register again or contact a mod on the forums about the issue and ask hiom not to fix it but to direct you to a place you might be able to gain traction. complaining to AMD ill probably get you nowhere because im sure they are two totally different divisions and emailing the incorrect tech support will get you nothing.

also in the future please try to pick an appropriate thread title per the forum guidelines.

If you know someone with a mobile phone, you could try using his/her number to register. :)

I recall having some delays with them too. Had to contact them but eventually they got to me and I got my rewards.

So has the method changed?

I recall getting DIRT 3 and Sniper Elite V2 bundled with cards . I think you only had to enter the code at a redeem page and that was it, you got the Steam codes right in the same page. So now you must make an account at AMD.com or something?

@Solaris17 : Sorry about the thread name.

@AphexDreamer : Seems like they were finally able to solve the problem with everyone who had the same problem as me, because today I got the activation email from AMD, thus I was able to redeem my voucher. Booyaka!

@TRWOV : Yeah, sounds like they may have changed it from when you got your games. What I got was a voucher for 3 games with a 12 digit code. I had to register with AMD because I didn't already have an account, so I'm not sure how it works with people who already have an account.

If anyone cares, I picked Alien: Isolation, Murdered: Soul Suspect and Sleeping Dogs. :D
