Wow. If true then this is fantastic news for AMD.

Not sure what to make of that, have AMD actually changed the CCX (from 4 to 6 core per CCX) or is this like TR 1920x with 4 cores disabled? Also the clocks seem way too high, for a 12 core, would be a pleasant surprise if true.

Seems legit from the leaked shots on the eteknix site. I'm a happy bunny - my upgrade path of 20% higher clocks is beyond my dreams for AMD's clock boost. Unless there's trickery involved.

Nice, now to see what they bring lower down the bracket.
Would love to have a 4C/8T at around 4.4GHz.

I've got a sudden bad feeling this is a fake. The actual slide with the AMD guy and the stage setting has visual issues - it also came out in Sept this year (this would have leaked by now).

The other 'slides' could easily have been doctored.

Think we've been had. If AMD could release a 12 core chip that does 4.6Ghz it actually would be very worrying for Intel. Like, proper threatening competition. We'd know about it by now unless this is the first leak. Hmm... too good to be true.

This is the same slide that kitguru revealed awhile back, so it may or may not be true, I'm giving it a little more thought since this is the second site that's shown it ~

I am sort of skeptical but if true then this could render Intel's entire lineup useless for real.

I've got a sudden bad feeling this is a fake.

Yep , but not for that reason. Just simply going to a 12nm node (that is still optimized for low power) can't provide this much increase in clock speed.

Well, was a 4GHz 16 threads Ryzen 1800X a fake? They did choke on a promise of overclocking a bit, but when you state base and turbo clocks, that's exactly what you need to deliver. Overclocking was not really a rock solid promise or something AMD would have to strictly guarantee. January and February aren't that far away so it makes it a realistic target to have now.

Clocks up to 4.8GHz for 1-2 threads and up to 4.4GHz for all cores aren't impossible if 12nm is in good shape. 14nm wasn't very good in allowing high clocks and I guess something will be done to correct that flaw in Ryzen gen 1. My 5 cents.

The 12 nm process node seems only like a refinement of the 14 nm process node. If 12C/24T Threadripper has 180W TDP at 3.5 GHz, the 2800(X) must consume more than the 9590 FX (Bulldozer). Looks like a poor fake to me. I would expect 15% max preformance uplift for Zen+ at same amount of cores. I also don't expect 12C/24T to become mainstream anytime soon ...

Sounds good, but I also want to know if their next GPU will be a viable single GPU 4K contender. And what's up with Vega, it's hard to even find them in stock, and when you do, they're insanely priced.

A 33% increase in core/thread count equating to an 82% increase in performance screams fake.

I cant see this been true but we should see a good jump in clock speeds if history repeats its self, Phenom went from 2.6GHz to 3.7GHz with Phenom II, Bulldozer went from 3.5GHz to 4.7GHz with Piledriver, so I expect Ryzen to go from 3.7GHz to maybe 4.4GHz (8C16T) all core clock speeds with a 10% IPC improvement as well, thats my guess for Ryzen 2, time will tell!

Fake AF. It was a troll slide that got picked up by kitguru.

Zen+ is most likely gonna remain 8c16t max. Max core freq might jump up though. Would be nice to see a base line of 4.2~4.4GHz overclock on Zen+

RyZen IPC is not that really far away from latest Intel CPU. However RyZen does have advantage in SMT comparing to Intel's HT.

You never know. Zen+ may really force Intel to drop 8c16t to mainstream.

Bulldozer went from 3.5GHz to 4.7GHz with Piledriver

That's not really true , Bulldozer could easily hit over 4.5 Ghz. The architecture was meant to hit very high clocks from the beginning , Zen not so much.
