Common sense, mate.

Because the smallest upcoming second generation Navi2/RDNA2 Navi 23 with 240 sq.mm and 50% higher performance per watt won't compete with GTX 1600 series.
Neither will Navi 10 or Navi 14.
How's that any proof, or even any indication?

And before you say "AMD clearly have no new and upcoming GPU that competes with GTX 1600, meaning that they'll leave that market space for APU's",
Let me remind you that lower end GPU's gets rebranded, more often than not, when a new generation is coming. AMD already has the RX 5500, it's quite new and made in 7 nm, and it has never been rebranded before, no need to replace that. Nobody ever shouted "We need new low end GPU's!".

Also, we don't know everything AMD is planning for the future.

You're gullible if you don't think the GPU rebranding would happen again in the future.

This time they will still be 7 nm, meaning that you can't extrapolate 4000G -> 5000G by looking at the improvements done in 3000G -> 4000G.

When they went from 3000G to 4000G they could cram in more components thanks to the smaller process node, going from 12 to 7 nm, which can't happen with the 5000G.

But they had to rebrand because they had been close to bankruptcy and the graphics department didn't work on many projects, to begin with.
Now, there is very healthy and fresh cash flow and things for projects should increase considerably.

APU performance for low-end.
Navi 23 for low-mid range.
Navi 22 for upper mid range.
Navi 21 for performance leadership.

As said... Cezanne will be Zen 3 with 17% IPC improvement and +5% clock improvement. iGPU will be Navi which depending on the version can bring up to 100% performance per watt improvement over Renoir's Vega.

You know that rebranding isn't something that only AMD does, right?
Nvidia MX 330 (2020) is a rebrand of the MX 250 (2019), which in turn is a rebrand of MX 150 (2017), which in turn is a rebrand of GTX 1030, and the whole GTX 800M generation was a rebrand.
Dunno what kind of excuse you'll find for that, but Nvidia isn't really close to bankruptcy AFAIK.
Either way, it doesn't matter, we don't know everything AMD knows.

100% performance per watt improvement over Renoir's Vega.
Do you have a source for that?

Mats what do you think they are talking about? Girl Scout Cookies?
Dunno what you're even referring to haha.
ARF thinks that pic is for APU graphics, which is so wrong on so many levels.

Yeah, it's impossible that AMD would reuse something. Don't give me any refresh/rebrand semantics bs.
