AMD today released the latest version of the AMD Software Adrenalin drivers. Version 22.11.1 beta comes with optimization for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II," and "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales." The drivers also address a handful issues. Prediction lines in "World of Warships" missing on machines with Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs, has been fixed. With Radeon Anti-Lag enabled, a beep being heard when pressing the shift+backspace key has been fixed. Visual corruption on OpenGL applications with MSAA enabled, has been fixed. Higher than expected video memory usage on multi-monitor setups using RX 6000-series GPUs, has been fixed. Visual artifacts such as missing objects, seen in "Edificius," has been fixed. Grab the driver from the link below.

Support for:
  • Call of Duty : Warzone 2.0
  • Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Fixed Issues
  • World Of Warships prediction lines may be missing on Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs.
  • When Radeon Anti-Lag is enabled, a beep can be heard when pressing the shift + back key.
  • OpenGL applications using MSAA may see visual corruption.
  • Higher than expected idle VRAM clock using multi-monitor setups on Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs.
  • Selected objects may be missing in Edificius.
Known Issues
  • During video playback and window switching, an intermittent driver timeout or black screen may occur on Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs using some 240Hz refresh rate displays or high refresh rate primary display plus low refresh rate secondary display configurations.
  • GPU utilization may be stuck at 100% in Radeon performance metrics after closing games on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon 570.
  • Stuttering may occur during video playback using hardware acceleration with Firefox on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT.
  • Brief display corruption may occur when switching between video and game windows on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6700 XT.
  • 22.10.3 Beta (October 28th, 2022)

I don't like non-WHQL drivers, but they fixed the beep sound. I'm going to risk it! Wish me luck TPU community. :fear:

Me neither but I have good hope we'll get a new recommended driver in December when RDNA3 becomes available.

The Known Issues finally getting low ... Except some (many?) OpenGL games might not work probably? :ohwell:
But I hope there is/are OpenGL to Vulkan/DirectX wappers to play older games that requires OpenGL whether commercial, freeware or open source games.

But I only know Mesa3D, a software renderer to OpenGL applications.
Still need more work as it seems:

There's been some considerable effort being put into OGL still they haven't given up

@btarunr

Your summary text and picture reference COD: MW, but the actual driver (and text) introduces support for COD: WZ2.0

Thanks INSTG8R for mentioning it. Link?

... I think a few of their WHQL drivers lately have been exactly the same as beta ones, but with WHQL stamped on it?

That's what they have been doing for quite a while now. I think it must be two or three years?

Why YouTube video is not decoded on video card, my CPU can't run full hd?
And why windows update downloads old video card driver who fails to install.
And where is ahci drivers for Windows 10

Those are some damn good Betas then... I don't recall the last time I've had an issue with their WHQLs.

WHQL drivers are beta drivers that passed Microsoft WHQL tests. Since it takes time and possibly money for those test, they release them as beta to get the day one support for new games. I have seen a couple of times a driver release as beta and shortly after as WHQL without any changes in the notes.

Installed this driver today. There were a couple things that i noticed. The GPU went from 22 to 17 W in idle. The VRAM Clock speed now remains at zero while browsing. The stress test went from pulling 209W to 213W during that. The GPU and Junction now idle in the 20s on my 6800XT. I think they are all related.

Honestly I can't say I've had an issue with the Beta drivers since I'm always using the latest one available, but that must be the "finewine" talking because I'm still using a RX 580 /shrug

What actual hardware do you have
You shouldn't need 3rd party AHCI drivers windows 10 come with it's own built in which a good
and you can turn of driver updates

You might have hardware-acceleration disabled in your browser. Other than that, as long as the video is encoded using H264, H265 or VP9, it should be decoded by your card (I imagine it's the RX 460 you have in your system specs page).
