What does it all mean!!!!!!

i realy cant wait for intel releases the nuke on amd Nehalem architect :D and bloomfield cpu's ^^

I think it doesn't matter who is a fanboy of who. The facts:

1. If both AMD and Intel exist there will be competition (prices) and innovation (SPEED!)

2. For my business I will buy what will work best (C2D right now) and what will last.

3. I will buy for me whichever will give me the best bang for my buck.

4. Buying stock helps the company if you are buying it from the company, but how does it go to the company if you buy your neighbors stock ($$)?

My opinions.
If AMD lasts it will eventually be on top again. Its the nature of the beast. Last "season" AMD won, right now Intel is winning. No one can be on top forever. I think this will help AMD/ATI as long as it doesn't step on Intels technology toes. Intel is the giant right now and can afford to pull its weight. I think AMD has its head in the right place and will figure this out, however I don't expect Intel to sit by and be blind sided (or NVidia for that matter). I want competition and product innovation. Without those two items then nothing will change, our biggest innovations are in times of struggle.

Seems that Intel will be Stepping on AMDs innovation with the HTT and IMC with the QPI (CSI) aka Intel copying AMD this time around.
Also it would appear Intel and Nvidia cant stand competition, Just like Microsoft.

Then AMD/ATI needs to do something about it, in court if necessary.
I was talking about the prior Intel employee that runs Commex, Tal Horowitz. Any Intel architecture he builds into AMDs products could get them put in court.
I think they are all big companies and capable of filing claims against each other if necessary.

Are you not aware of AMD's massive antitrust lawsuit? They have tried and tried, it won't go anywhere when intel destroys evidence and hands out money. Japan sued Intel before that. The US gov't absolutely will not stop any monopoly (look at how many times M$ gets sued or taken to court in EU, but not here or AT&T again). It's not in their best interests (and we all know what that is: money, power, oil, make the poor even poorer, etc, etc).

Yes I'm aware, there are a lot of companies that do this. AMD just needs to find evidence and prove it.
The EU is making stupid charges against MS, thats why no one is taking them seriously. MS is not currently blocking third party content from operating and it is MS's choice what software to bundle and sell. If others software is available and works then MS shouldn't be sued. If Opera wants their software bundled with MS then they should make it worth their while, not even the community here thinks it is. The closest is Firefox from what I see.

edit: people can/will call me a "fanboy", but is that valid term for someone that stands up for what they will believe in, especially in regards to ethics and morals?

So what???i am an amd fanboy.and i am happy i didnt waste ma money on obsolete techs.:laugh:atleast IMHO without AMD the so called Intel fanboys wuda been playing with 486,486DX,486PX,486MX,486M$,486SH**,............ even now :respect:
hell, and without the K7 does it seem remotely possible Intel wud have improved from P3 :pimp:i doubt.

i wont say intel has bad tech.but they dont giv them to the users like u and me unless there is a very compellig reason and for now that compelling reason IS ,WAS and WILL BE AMD:toast:.so all u intel kiddos say thanx to AMD so that u can bash AMD still

Your argument is quite poor, as it applies the exact same way around.
Why did AMD make good chips? because Intel kicked their asses.
Why do intel have good chips? cause AMD kicked their asses...

The fight goes on constantly, with a clear winner appearing at times. People who buy the loser, because of fanboyism... are stupid.

This is not a rant saying dont buy AMD, this is a rant saying dont buy a prescott, a celeron, an FX-62, or a phenom. its not the brand that fails, which is what i am SICK of hearing about, its the PRODUCT.

helboy: find me an AMD product, that value for money, beats a core 2 chip at stock, and/or overclocked.

Im not helboy, but I did pruchase and AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black @ 3.2 Stock for 150 Bucks...

Good value chip. Thats not what i'd call a bad product, makes my point for me - BEFORE the blacks, nothing matched up. Now, i'd say they can compete (value, if not speed) with intels dual cores.

Intel are still winning, but AMD have a product that is COMPETITIVE, if not better.

Bitch of course, is that AMD dont have a competitive lineup, just those models - Intel still have better quads, and better value models (e21x0 line)

If there was a problem, yo they'll solve it
Check out the proc while AMD revolves it

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Anyways you people are just blind. Haven't you ever played connect the dots when you were younger? So let me break it down for you. AMD is in trouble now, they've spend most of their money on developing and marketing the Phenom platform and it hasn't payed off. So now they are starting a "venture" with an Israeli group? Do the thinking. They needed to borrow some money fast and this was the only way they could do it without raising too much suspicion from their share-holders. Buy stock from a company that is rapidly declining and now resorts to borrowing money from Israel? Nah, thanks!
