AMD Trinity and Brazos 2.0 Start Shipping to ODMs

i agree, but why would you play 1080p without DXVA?

With VLC player, no problem.... Youtube on the other hand...
But since changing, the PC has been loaded with a shiftload more stuff...

Youtube has been troublesome on many users machines from the fastest desktop or server to the Slowest Model.

thats one of few shipments kid, you must be running intel/nvidia anyway:shadedshu

On topic I can only assume that FM2 Will Eventually Replace AM3+ as the Mainstream/Performance Desktop market after 2 more Gens of CPUs

I think you won't see that happen until further down the road, and it will probably come with a switch from PGA to LGA, or at least I hope it will. It would be nice of AMD to consolidate their platform more. If they had a single socket--we'll call it FM3--that supported all their desktop CPU's, they would be better off.

According to their roadmap, there won't be a complete 'fusion' of the cpu and gpu until the 4th gen APUs get released in 2014... I'm no engineer, but I think that means that there may not be socket-type stabilization from AMD until then. Unless someone here has a better answer.

Sure, a bad install, wrong drivers etc. can bring it down easily... But this one wasnt... It was noticable that it didnt run smooth.

Now I can throw tons of stuff after the PC, without it breaking a sweat drop, and the temperature of this Intel is nuts... Decreased voltage to 1.005v (it was rock stable at 0.995, but at one boot, it whined about UEFI.... Stressing with prime95, all threads; 12-12 size)

so 2 years down the road. Eh No worries honestly. I think a Skt A Model design would work if its like FM2

That was exactly what I was getting at. I think post-FM2 (hence me saying FM3 :P) will see consolidation, maybe pushing it off until FM4. I think they inevitably need to do it, because it opens so many upgrade paths for consumers. Allowing people to get a low-end PC with a mid-level APU, then add a GPU, then a better CPU, etc.

this is what the Skt A Concept was and It worked so well For Geode, Duron, Sempron, Athlon, Mobile Athlon-4, Athlon XP, Athlon XP-M, and Athlon MP

They were so freaking slow making brazos 2.0, and lets face it... First E-generation was too freaking slow for 1080p video playback without GPU acc.....
Because of the long wait, I ended up going all in, sandy bridge dualcore instead, power consumption of my i3-2100 setup is less than 10W higher in load, and 3W higher idle, than my E350... - and the E350 had a 5-10% more effecient PSU solution (picopsu)

AMD E-350 designed to compete against Intel Atom type solutions.

cant be in the US, you guys use miles/hr right?

the truck has a speed limit of 60kmph

and the sshipping address is to ASUSTEK COMPUTERS

asus is using them in their lappys first!
