Annoying problem without knowing its origin

Hello!

Here's the thing, the other day I was doing a Stream on Twitch like I normally do every day and out of nowhere everything starts to lag, in other words it looked like Slideshow's, but not only in the game it was everywhere, in the broadcast program ( OBS ) and in Windows, like I moved the mouse and only after 4 or 5 seconds the pointer moved, it took forever to restart the PC until I reached the button to click and restart the PC

I restarted and problem solved. Then I searched for something (I don't even know how to search) and they said Hardware Accelerated Scheduling (something like that in Windows) and I actually had it activated, so I deactivated it and went on with my life with the problem solved.

But no, after almost a month the problem returned, with a lot of cost (because really everything is at startup in Windows) I opened the Task Manager and with another cost out of nowhere I finished the task of the NZXT CAM program responsible for the speed and rgb of the fans and as soon as I closed this Windows returned to normal. And now I had discovered the problem, that is, whenever I turned on Windows, I turned off the program to prevent this situation from happening.

Now comes the interesting part, I was on Windows just fine with just 3 tabs open and what happens?? Yes, the problem again, and with yet another cost of slowness I went to see if I had forgotten to close NZXT CAM and to my amazement it was closed, nothing appeared in the Task Manager.... now comes the best part, I FINISHED the task browser and the PC doesn't return to normal!

So there seems to be some pattern here that I can't figure out.

Like it was at great temperatures, both the CPU and GPU, Ram consumption was at 28%, what I need to try to see/change is Windows because I have Windows 11 version 24H2

My PC is new

Consisting of a 7800X3D and an RTX 4070 32GB of Ram 850W Seasonic power supply

I can't find the problem, but what's strange is, closing something in the task manager and it's solved.

However, on my notebook PC I have the same Windows with the same version and this does not happen. It is a basic Notebook PC with an eighth generation i5 without an integrated graphics card

Note - I have everything up to date when it comes to drives and Bios.

Fresh os, no nzxt cam installed, only motherboard, gpu drivers and security updates only, no mouse/keyboard config software either.

So what exactly is closed in task manager that alleviates the issue?

Windows is so full of bugs today it is not even funny. Yesterday on my work PC I was on a Teams Meeting but could get no Audio. People could hear me but nothing on my side. When I went into Sound settings and disabled Hardware acceleration it magically worked. The worst I commented on recently. I had the newest update and all of a sudden I would get these weird things like the Mouse pointer freezing on screen, random black screens and shutdowns. So I reset my copy of Windows and am fine for a day. The next day I get up, turn on my PC and the mouse freezes again. I unplug the mouse to no sound and plug it into another port and it would not even light up. Off to the PC store, let's hope it's the mouse. I get the Asus Tuf G3. Plug that in and it has been a week with no issues.

The second time this happened, I just finished the task with the NZXT CAM program and as soon as the task was finished, the PC returned to normal, without slowdowns.
I haven't had any more problems, until today. That exact same problem came back, only this time I had NZXT CAM turned off in the background.

I finished the Browser task and the PC returned to normal. I find this so strange.

Since VMWare Workstation is now free you might try running Teams in a Windows Guest VM. From several years experience now it works really well in that environment. I have very few problems other than outright Teams bugs.

could be windows update breaking things... my 2cents

Yes, this will be the next step if it happens again, but it will not be for WIndows 11 but for 10.

Because after more exhaustive research there are many people with a similar problem.

And it seems like a problem since 2023 and apparently without a solution (until today)

Sounds like a software issue to me.

this is your best bet.

I completely agree, during the research I did, in addition to saying that most of the problem is with Windows 11, other people say it is with AMD's program, Adrenalin.

This was the last step I did, I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, but this time only the processor graphics controller driver, without Adrenalin installed. Let's see how it goes now, especially since this problem occurs once a month.

I agree. But my notebook has the same version of Windows and this doesn't happen.
Something is probably causing conflict on my Gaming/Streaming PC.

I was really thinking more along the lines of flaky obs software, nzxt cam, 10,000 overlays, or some kind of wonky input device software.

@DirtyDingusMcgee

OBS I don't think so, I've been streaming for 5 years and never had any problems, problems related to OBS only happen in OBS itself and do not affect Windows.
I always try to keep my PC as clean as possible, I only have one M. 2 disk for Windows and OBS, and another disk (SSD) just for programs and games. NZXT CAM I never had any problems (this is ALWAYS with Windows 10). As for the input device software, I didn't install any software (keyboard, mouse, etc.)

But I don't know either, since I set up this new Setup (first time at AMD) and took advantage of it and installed Windows 11, I've had some problems that I've always fixed, this is the most annoying one.

Those bugs are on 22H2. Thats ancient, and the fix was uninstalling the KB update number associated with it. Dont get lost in the woods here. Keep it stupid simple and start from scratch

But being on the Windows 11 24H2 version. In other words, what do you suggest? Do a clean install of Windows 10? Or what? It's just that going to Windows 22H2 when 23H2 and 24H2 already exist, I'm somewhat limited.
