Is there any games that support DX 10.1 ? I have vista home premium with SP1 but I do not see that DX 10.1 is installed just DX 10 . maybe getting a game would solve this ?

Far Cry 2 and Assasin's Creed are the two I know of.

ati have a dx 10.1 bench utility, was posted on here a few days ago, that would solve your problem

Didn't the latest patch for Stalker: Clear Sky enable DX10.1?

I thought that Assasin's Creed had 10.1 de-activated with a patch. Not sure wich one.

DX10.1, another not ready for prime time disaster. I guess you can fire up 3dmark vantage and enjoy your endless benchmark looping. ( Oh look Mom ! It's DX10.1 ! )

Is there anyone who wants to tell us " This looks just so much better - this is great! " ?

I guess like others before, it's going to take time. Whateva.

Open GL / Glide FTW!!!

Thank NVIDIA for that. They basically gave the finger to Microsoft on DirectX 10.1 saying something down the lines that it doesn't offer significant enough changes to be worth implementing in their hardware.

What exactly is the difference between 10.0 and 10.1? Is it better optimized or does it add new features?

Basically it forces venders to implement 4xAA but does run smoother than 10.0?

It looks smoother to the eye, but I doubt it will run smoother... 4xAA will make the game go slower.

That's what improving quality does. Better quality is always at the cost of performance. Though as long as you have the extra processing power this isn't a drawback.
