Any point in using Tripe Buffering with Adaptive V-Sync?

What title says. Is there even any point in using Triple Buffering since Adaptive V-Sync shuts down V-Sync once framerate drops below refresh rate? Whole point of Triple Buffer was to decrease the halving of the framerate with V-Sync. Or is there any other purpose to it?
 
Yes, it's still worth it for when vsync can be maintained ie solid 60fps or whatever the monitor refresh is.

No, you still possibly decrease your input lag with triple buffer if you are running at max rate.

What counterzeus said, plus it improves framerate performance if I remember correctly, but don't quote me. I think www.geforce.com has a full explanation of it if you're interested.

What input lag with Adaptive V-Sync at 144Hz?
Makes no difference. If the graphics card is achieving 144Hz vsync locked then the adaptive bit doesn't matter. It's only when the framerate drops that it kicks in.
 
Exactly. That's why there is no input lag to begin with. You experience the lag because with normal V-Sync, when framerate drops, it halves the framerate and that's why you feel the input lag.

There's always input lag, but at 144Hz vsync locked it's very low indeed so you don't notice it. The smallest it can be is 1/144 seconds long.

If you remember CRTs as the gold standard for low input lag, a CRT running at 60Hz still feels waay more laggy than an LCD at 144Hz. Of course, a CRT at 144Hz would feel the best of all, if you could find one. I expect the difference would feel very marginal though.
