Hey guys, Im choosing a case for my friend, I wont go into full details of his system but its following:

i7 4970k
MSI Z97
CRUCIAL 2x4 GB
GTX 980 Ti
WD 1 TB HDD
Samsung 850 EVO SSD
EVGA Supernova G2
CM 212 EVO

Now all that he need s is a case but the thing is he doesn't like some cases who look plain simple like most cases are rather something like Stryker or Phantom series.

Case choosing is so subjective, you're better off coming with a list of 4-5 he likes and then compare

I personally have a crush on the Silverstone FT05, maybe he'll like the RV05?

Corsair, Lian Li and Fractal Design are certainly among my favorites. Check them out and see if they have what you need and what you're willing to pay for.

If you want something different but not to radical, check out the Corsair Carbide Air 540 and it's little bro the 240, and the Prodigy series from BitFenix..... I have built several rigs with these cases this year, and everyone I build them for is extremely pleased.... you can check my system specs for the one I built for myself using an Air 540.....and yea, added the orange accents on the Air, but the Prodigy came that way (they have other colors available too)...

Or if you do want something rad, check out the iWin openframes...they are awesome, but big $$ too..

Be aware that if you take a case with window side you'll have to do two things, otherwise don't even bother with it:
- keep the guts inside the case super tidy
- handle the window side panel with care, windows are acrylic and super easy to scratch

Nothing is worse than a case with a window and ugly insides. If you're not willing to invest time into making it tidy and buying components that look nice, buy a full metal sides instead. And if you won't take care about the acrylic window, it'll scratch and it'll look ugly even if you have it nice inside.

Also, silent cases don't have noise dampening where windows are so they can't be as silent as full metal panel ones...

Oh and I absolutely hate cases that have windows that expose HDD cages. That is super lazy design and is as ugly as death.

His budget is 150 $ and what is wrong with plastic, he barely does anything with his case except turn on his PC heh.
