Apevia is the new company name of Aspire. The Apevia X-Cruiser sports three gauges with blue light as well as a window for a small price tag. While the inside is quite simple and does not feature anything out of the ordinary, the outside look of the case did bring a smile to our face, especially considering the price tag and multiple color choices available.

hmm strange aspire made a case that looks exactly the same but it does look really nice

nice review, i love the budget case reviews

i've been wanting to get a new case, but with the specific upgrade path of 8800gtx in mind. my current case needs some of the harddrives to be moved inorder for the g80 to fit, is there any chance you could include this in future reviews? (ie full hdd capacity w/ 8800gtx)

killer gauges, btw

hi!
Well I usually do with cases that are not based on pure OEM design. The inside of this case is no different than many, many different such cases, thus I can tell you that a 8800GTX will not fit without getting in the way of a hard drive...
they will fit, but the HDD connector will get in the way of the card, but the 8800GTX has the PCIe connectors on the side, so it may be a really tight fit...

cheers

looked at this case today for my grandsons new build, in a Tiger D store, but went with a Armor Jr instead because o0f the oem layout

The wife has this case and here are the things I noticed:

Thermal probe for temp gauge is ~3" short for crossfire mobo where primary gfx goes on the bottom

Volume gauge smoked after about 6 months

Case lets in a TON of dust - No filters

Great budget case, and the wife loves the way it looks, even if her volume gauge no longer moves (it is still lit up though)
