I was using Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO. I had overheating problem when i start a cpu test as you can see from my previous topic. Today, I bought Arctic Liquid Freezer and installed properly. I installed windows and other drivers. Now, It's been worse than Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO. Whenever I open something, cpu temp goes from 40c to 60-70c. I can not understand what is problem in my setup. I am afraid of that cpu was damaged. I used thermal paste in the box of Arctic Liquid. I tried BF1 as game. With Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO, cpu temps was about 70-75c. With Liquid, it's always 90-100c.

I wanna add something. Everything was cool before when I first tried Prime95. CPU temps was max 65 in games with Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO. After Prime95 test or when I first saw thermal throttling, CPU started overheating even in idle.

I need someone to help me via TeamViewer, Discord or etc.

Ur pump is plugged in? What is the rpm on the pump?

use hwinfo or aida sensors tab to monitor the pump.... if you're hitting 90c on liquid your pump is not on.

This might sound daft, as questions, but they need to be done, so I'll do it:
- Did you take the "REMOVE BEFORE USE" sticker from the bottom of the coolers before applying them?
- Did you spread evenly the TIM or placed enough on the processor for it to cover the surface when the cooler is pressed ('X' shape or dab in the middle, usually)?
- Are the fans ramping up as the temperature rises?

The latter question is due to some software to manage your board can be set the fans to manual, or voltage instead of PWM, meaning they won't speed up with thermal load.

Oh ! i wanna really thank to you man! I forgot that sticker. As soon as i saw your reply, i shutdown pc and removed that sticker. I added a bit more Arctic MX-4 on CPU also. Lastly, i spreaded evenly with stick inside Arctic MX-4. Now my pc is running cool. THANK YOU, I APPRECIATE YOU

Might want to edit your first post and change the word "properly" to look like this: properly ;)
Glad to read that your issue was resolved!

Guys, Thanks for everone. But still got worried about CPU. I used with sticker about 1 hour accidentaly. Did it damage or make a problem for CPU? Should i clear and repaste thermal ?

No they have thermal protection, you can run it without a cooler it won't actually damage the CPU.... it will just throttle to keep it below 105C.

Running it for months on end at 90+ C will eventually damage it, but it can handle 100C temps for bursts without issue. My intel mac regularly loads at 90C and idles in the mid 60's and has been doing that almost 24/7 for years - these chips are pretty hardy.

I'm using it cleaning. Just added paste a bit. Because thermal paste was stuck on sticker.

Hey, it happens to all of us, especially on a addrenaline+anxiety troubleshooting session. You're very welcome! :) I'm glad it was that and not someting way more complex to troubleshoot.
Happy that you got it running nicely now! :toast:

If you know logically the temps don't make sense, usually I will just remove the cooler to see if I did something wrong and contact is good. And yes, I did the same mistake once where I applied thermal compound, but forgot to remove the plastic protector below. Glad you solved your issue,
