That is true, and I don't intend to buy one mainly because I don't need one.You shouldn't really buy high-end GPU with a 550W PSU anyways, even if said high-end GPU has TDP of 250W it might have big power spikes.
I do. Not only because of my PSU limitations, but also because the conducted heat has to go somewhere. It doesn't matter much in a full-size ATX tower, but I like small and compact systems where space and cooling options are limited. Running your GPU cool is one thing, but what does it matter if it heats up your other components?
The Palit card I linked has the same PCB design as the reference 1050 Ti as far as I know, so there was no cost involved in designing it.Well AIB like to reuse PCB designs as much as possible to cut down cost, so you will have to pay extra for GPU without power connector (like the A2000), which I don't think is worth it.
