I recently made some changes to my system.

I had an FX-4130 and upgraded to an FX-6300

Performance wise? it has increased.

Anyway. My temps are averaging anywhere from 32-38C when idle or internet browsing and when I run OCCT it maxes out at 55c.

Are those decent temps for this chip?

Specs are in my profile.

TIA for any and all responses :)

I currently have it sitting at 4.2 @ 1.3 volts

My old system was an Intel i7 930 so this AMD thing is new to me when it comes to OC.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
First off... what program are you using to monitor temps? Last I heard coretemp reading are wrong... Second, with these chips you can now go over 60C?

It helps when you know what is reading what as some are wrong (Im not using AMD and know that...). I believe in Coretemp you have to add like 10C or so to make it accurate?

Just be sure you are giving the best information. At my home site, I read a lot on AMD temps and where they should be and what to use. This advice is making me nervous, but admittedly, AMD isnt my forte and I am regurgitating things I dont really know about...

I am using the OC utility with my motherboard, CPUID, and HWINFO64.

All three agree on the Core temp and voltages.
