Artifacts on Atitool, But NO artifacts in games ??

Im a little confused, i have a powercolor radeon 9800se 128MB 256bit that softmodded fine to 9800 pro it has the same core and memory speed as the 9800 pro.

I been playing games and i dont have any artifacts at all, i played HL2 Doom3 and others, but if i run atitool .23 it detect lot of artifacts, so i tried atitool .22 and it detect only a few artifacts, so i lowered the core speed from 380 to 300 and the artifacts are gone ,wich make me think that heat is the cause of the artifacts, but then how come i dont get any artifacts on games like doom3 or HL2 ??

My motherboard is only Agp 4x, Could it be that running the card at agp 4x (1.5v) is why im not getting artifacts in games ?

im using a stock fan but im getting a vga silencer in the mail soon, atitool got me worried that i might start getting artifacts in games Right now i switched back to 4 pipelines untill i get the silencer.

atitool picks up tiny artifacts that you wouldn't notice when playing games. It would be because of the heat that you're getting them. Your now cooling should help, but as long as your card isn't crashing if you play for a long time or the artifacts showing after a couple of hours, you don't have too much to worry about.
