ASRock Readies Hasbro Transformers-Themed Motherboards

Who is the target audience for these things?

true...anyone dropping that much money into a 2011build wont b likely to use a transformer theme

Other than someone like me..

I like transformers but i don't like hardware that uses it for marketing its cheesy its like buying a car and slapping transformers stickers all over it :shadedshu

Lol, so they aim's for 10 milions motherboards cuz they made those toys.

Any pkemon sereis come out.

lie or die - what do you use to make pictures like that?

X79Nyan%20Cat.jpg

Probably Photoshop :)

Its not gay and I happen to love Transformers and think this is pretty awesome. I also believe they licensed any likeness or copyrights from Hasbro if this is true. Id buy the damn thing in Opimus Prime! "AUTOBOTS! Roll OUT!"

... I didn't know little kids build computers:roll: I used to like Transformers till they came out with the new movies and killed the name for me, they made it all about the kids.

I really want to built a pony themed computer now. All we need is an AppleJack motherboard.

If I was to choose one it damn sure wouldnt be them

I want the MEGATRON version :pimp:

I dont know maybe that pink pony one on the first page

So ASUS gets sued by Hasbro for their ASUS Transformer tablet and their spin off partner company ASRock starts making Hasbro Transformer motherboards...

Ironic.

When they release the Jenna Jameson version with the Chipset Heatsink that look like big gorgeous Boobs.... That is the one I will buy!

Til then I think I will stay away from eh Transformer themed motherboards. But nice try ASrock.... too bad you don't sell boards at Toys-R-Us

Looks like these motherboards transform themselves into lawsuits.

Looks like these motherboards transform themselves into lawsuits.

Read the original post again:

The quality of those pictures indicates that ASRock is still in the brainstorming stage of these products, seeking opinions of its Facebook fans, and it will be a while before these products take shape, if they take shape to begin with.

ASRock hasn't produced anything yet; they're soliciting feedback on possible ideas. None of this stuff will see the light of the assembly line unless ASRock pays for a license from the owner.

:laugh::laugh:Now we have 8 year old's building enthusiast boards?

Well building a rig is not as hard as it use to be:D

OH my god???
what are these nutters thinking, transformers-really???

Do they expect 12 year old kiddies to be buying these mobos, or is this just some kinda joke or something.

Bad move asrock, grow the hell up pls.:laugh::laugh:

Transformer motherboard or one with gun shaped heatsinks?

So long as the don't go crazy with poorly coloured pcb, branding and ugly car shaped heatsinks.... then these could be okay. :wtf:

i want function over style '__'

I want function AND style, surely thats not so hard?

I wish every board shown in this thread was real, i would happily buy the rainbow dash or nyan cat model

But it makes me wonder if this is in any way related to the asus transformer prime lawsuit, if Hasbro was entering in to a licensing deal with ASRock it would make sense to be trying to protect the name even if they are not protecting the exact copyright(as far as i knew).

Although saying that could Hasbro have whipped up a deal with ASRock to try and show their claim as legit as it's not about confusing tablets with toys but computer components for tablet bringing the markets it would be claiming confusion within much closer together.

Or ASRock has no permission at all and just wants to get sued as well?

ASRock Marketing/PR are trolling

ASRock hasn't produced anything yet; they're soliciting feedback on possible ideas. None of this stuff will see the light of the assembly line unless ASRock pays for a license from the owner.

This, until I see products on shelves it's just a clever marketing ploy to get people talking about ASRock. :shadedshu
