Very true, nowadays Medium gives you 80-95% the quality of ultra/max and it multiplies your FPS.Nevermind me but i would prefer this reviews with something like average settings based on game presets.
Not sure how useful it is to me how the game runs at ultra as neither me nor anyone else uses ultra.
Here is my own review: The parkour mechanics are ultra scripted and out of a mobile game, making the level design almost irrelevant.I have come to the conclusion that most of the haters are people that only watch youtube videos and don't actually play the game.
That said, my wife has that "Ubisoft subscription thing" so she preloaded the game a couple days ago and got to play it last night after a driver update. From what I saw, very good looking game. The game almost justifies her upgrading her near 5 year old RX 6900XT. She can play at about 70FPS with 1080p balanced upscale and frame gen for quasi 4k with RT off. It still looks extremely good even with those trade offs. She said the combat system is like all the best ACs had an orgy and this is the baby they made.
The combat is almost mindless button mashing, with you stun locking everything and is worse than Unity from 2014, maybe a bit better than AC4, this makes most stats irrelevant and in general pointless. The talents/skill upgrades are alright, but again they don't really matter.
The AI is dumb as a brick, IDK what happened in the past few years, but Ubi's AI has gotten much worse, before it was passable.
The story is pretty weak with it just being there to justify the game happening.
The world is mostly empty, which has become a staple for them since Ghost Recon wildlands. The objectives/missions are for the most part very boring and annoying to do.
And in general Assassin's Creed does not and has never had a gameplay loop and progression that is good beyond 10-15 hours of gameplay, so them dragging it out for ages is NOT a plus.
The graphics, world design and for the most part animations are great.
