Hi everyone, long time since Ive posted. Missed everyone.
Been solving the Targeted Individual rubbish(microwave hearing through microwave expansion targeting the nervous systems of the brain).
Anyway Ive just upgraded to a 7800X3D and the Asus Crosshair X670E Hero.
Found a problem I can not believe. Due to the Nvidia 4090 being a power hog, I have used all of the pcie connectors on my psu.
So the motherboard has provided another connector physically next to the main power cable. Literally a 12v pcie connector physically on the board like you would find on a GPU.
Ive checked the manual and it says the 16x pcie connectors on the board only receive 28amps instead of 60amps with the extra connector plugged in.
So as sods law dictates I do not have any connections left to use.
Has anyone got any advice. Should I buy ANOTHER PSU??? Because this is without a doubt the most frustrating part. I always buy above my requirements because I hate spending money on power supplies.
So I buy a 1200w or a 1000w and am done with it. I simply can not believe the situation im faced with. Spending another 4-500 pounds on a psu just for an extra 12v connector.
Does it make difference? Has anyone else got the board and reviewed it @Wizard Im going to have a look for your review if you have one now.
Otherwise can you please advise on what you think I should do.
Thanks in advance as usual. All advice is appreciated...
Imagine a place where motherboards have 12v pcie connectors This IS THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
