Can't comment for that board but my Asus is totally stable, the only issues I cant think of is that it won't let me set my memory to 400MHz when there are two pieces (but I know that only affects this model and maybe a couple of other s754 mobos). It is completely stable - got my first BSOD in about 8 months yesterday because of a dodge USB TV adpator driver :(

Well ive had it and it was a good board but if u are into OCing it will not go above 360fsb. Some say that there is a wall between 360 and 400 and that u need to go above 400 to get higher clocks but it didnt work for me and my e6400. If u can got the the deluxe version much higher clocks thats what i went to

i got the p5b deluxe and its quite nice .. there is a bit less stability in the 350 to 400 range but beyond that it works fine to 500ish

The gigabyte ds3 should do good and it's about the same price here in the states. I got 400 fsb stable with the cheapest ocz duel channel kit at frys. I think it was 4-5-4-15.(e6300)

If you do go for a P965 based motherboard, just make sure it has the ICH8R southbridge. The standard ICH8 southbridge doesn't have the raid features of the R models. Going with the R will better serve you for future proofing. The ASUS P5B-E could be considered as well, just make sure it's revision 1.02 or later. Revision 1.01 only supports a VDimm of 2.1V. It could very well be a ram bottle neck, especially if you overclock or upgrade to low latency, high speed ram. Many of the kits require more than 2.1V to operate at their rated latency and speed. If possible, ask the vendor about the revision before you purchase it. (If you even consider it, that is)
