Gamers can now enjoy DS3D or EAX gaming effects over "Dolby Headphone", "Dolby Digital Live" or "DTS Connect" for immersive and realistic digital 5.1 cinematic surround sounds.
That is really awesome. Now if they didn't cost so much...

And BTW, anyone who needs the added benefit of hardware sound acceleration to play Final Fantasy VIII at decent framerates I doubt would have a computer with an ASUS Xonar in it .

Also, don't Doom 3/Quake 4 use OpenAl and have nothing to do with DS3D anyway?

I believe the game may have both DS3D and Open AL sound paths.

Hi, i have a ASUS XONAR D2

Tried it, it doesnt work.

Ran Rome Total War v1.5 and gives me "no supported hardware" i got the latest update from ASUS for their soundcard as well as the download listed above, havent tried any other games but the whole reason i bought the card was becuase im using Vista and it is suppose to give me EAX, i want my EAX in Vista as promised by ASUS damnit!

Any ideas how to get it working?
