We all know there are many, many games that use the nVidia logo and liscense, easily noticed by either the nVidia logo on the game box, or by the nVidia AVI loaded at a game startup . . .

which got me thinking . .. how many games has the ATI logo been liscensed for, either having their logo on the game box, or their opening AVI?

The only two I can think of off the top of my head are:

Black & White
Black & White 2

Can y'all name some more?

most games are optimized to run better on nvidia, i dont see amd really cheating much on games, i like never see their logos on games.

yeah, same here - which is why I was curious as to what games they've licensed their logo to.

Valve :)

ATI is plenty in it with them, which is good coz HL2 etc run blisteringly on ATI hardware ;)

i just know black and white and another game i can't remenber atm :x

I was so happy when I realized that with my new system, which I never expected 60fps on highest settings on my monitor!

Now Crysis on the other hand...

Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield I know had the logo when you went into video settings, then again I've always played it on ATi cards so I don't know if it showed an Nvidia logo when you played it on an Nvidia card.

no it always shows a ATI logo, i played it with my 7600GT

Valve games, RB:6 Vegas, Guild wars, and Prey off the top of my head.

There is a few.
Somemore are Sid Meier's Pirates! and The Movies from Activision.

I "The Movies" with an nVidia card when playing finished movies the quality of them are very blocky and there's nothing you can do about it.

There is an interview with Roy Taylor from nVidia about "The way it's meant to be played" project and the purpose behind it.
Goes to show it's not just advertisement.

"Dreamfall - The Longest Journey" is one. Great game btw.

My min. framerate on CS:S is 90 something on the stress test... I only use a 2600 too.

I love me some CS:S.

I had thought PREY was, but I haven't picked that one up yet . . .

Oddly, FEAR carries the ATI liscense, and is even backed by ATI on the AMD/ATI website, but the ATI logo doesn't appear anywhere in the game or on the box.

and I'd really like to see ATI start doing something similar - not to say they aren't, they're just not as pbulic about their development program as nVidia is

Farcry, but I'm not sure about it...

hmmm im not too sure, in fact there was a game i had eons ago that ive been trying to dig up but havn't a clue what it is, its a space shooter, erm main menu (i suppose) you start in a hanger and select your mission before dissapearing, one mission i remember well (cos i was stuck) was one where you and your sqaud meet an old cruiser and you are given the choice either destroy it (as your crew tell you) or you can protect it since it is full of civillians, now no matter what you do your team turns on you and you need to fly for your life.... does anyone know what this game is, i had it on my first ever 98 system so its an older game, if i remember rightly it was backed my ATI and Voodoo technologies

Sounds similar to Freelancer, was an awesome game back in the day.

Theres a big ATI logo in the graphics option of pretty much every Source game, (HL2, CS:S, TF2, Portal, etc.)
