Crysis is just poorly optimized, but due to nvidias support is a little bit better on them, that's not saying much, hopefully with Crysis - Warhead we'll see a better optimized engine which these current generation cards can actually have a hope of running at smooth frame rates and high resolutions

Cough*3870x2 was a test bed for the 4870x2, as I expected*Cough

Don't make me laugh.

The 55nm core was retracted days ago in favor of the GT300 - a core with 384 ALU's, which will tear through AMD like a laser through a transistor.

But if you have a board with four PCIe x16 slots, then go right ahead, my AMD fanboy friend.

the retraction was never confirmed and wouldn't make sense being that is was already taped out.

and the gt300 when or if it comes out will have to deal with the revision to the r700. but that's for another thread. all in all only a fanboy would pay 500$ for a gtx280 vs 500$ for a 4870x2. but I guess theres enough nv fanboys to do it. the 4800 series has effectively beat the gt200 series, I know it hurts your fanboy ego, but it's the truth. and if you haven't been paying attention, nehalem/bloomfield will have quadfire capability through 4 pcix slots. which as I said, 3 gtx280's won't beat 4 4870's. giving ati the overall performance crown this round.
