Hi, my graphics card is an ati radeon x1600 with 512 mb of ram. i've noticed that if i leave my system on for too many days in a row that my mouse cursor will turn into a squiggly line. then shortly there after if i don't shut the system down i'll get a weird green static then the computer will freeze. a former roomate of mine had a similar issue with his ati card so i know it's not my pc to blame. it almost reminds me of when an xbox 360 getting ready to have a 2rlod or an e74 error. on the 360 it's caused by bad solder joints. could it be something similar with my card? is this a common issue with ati cards?
any help or solutions would be appreciated.

x1600? AFAIK the last of those cards were made quite a couple of years back, it may just be 'getting old' (capacitor aging). Check the temps while running a benchmark/stresstest.
