it's possible to flash my gigabyte x800xt pe bios to x850xt pe bios?

Am fraid tis impossible.
The 2 have totally different cores so flashing one to the other is not a possible. You'll just have to be content with overclocking it!

Either that or sell it and buy a x800gto2 with an r480 core and mod it!!

The question is why anyone would want to flash X800XT with X850XT bios??? There's no point in that because the X850XT bios itself doesn't speed up the card. Just mod your defalt X800XT bios with higher frequencies and flash the card with it.

get the x800xtpe because i have had mine vmodded and got 600\600 and good benchies 14k on 3dmark 03 and 7.1k on 05 so far on a

veince 3000@2.45
asus x800xtpe 600\600 agp
512mb ram kingston overclocked at 220mhz
and a cheap spungey 375watt psu 17amps through the 12v rail
msi neo 2 platinum 939

what is the difference between x800xt pe and x850xt pe besides that the x850 has a bit higher clocks (but u can clock your x800 to x850 speeds).
Does the r480 core on the x850 work in a better way than the r420 (agp) does ?

x800series use r423 core and x850series use r480 core(r481 agp-models). there are small differenses between these two.
I had x850xt@pe agp and now i have x800gto@xt 16pp r423(pci-e 8x slot) overclocked gpu at same speed & memory is little slower still my new x800series card is faster than old!

then i desided, at same prize I can get good pci-e mb & x800gto.
