which do you like better? and why?

just got a notice that AVG 7.5 is gonna stop getting updates march 18th, this is the second date ive gotten, not sure if its gonna be for real or not but... I' think its time to find something new just incase.

ive noticed that those are probably the two best free ones, but i wonder which is more better between them, avast seems more popular to me, figured I'd get your guyses take on it.

I've used all 3 and I prefer Avast. Avira prompted too many pop-ups, and I've seen avast block a few things. I also just like the way it's interface and controls are set up. Avira is usually ranked higher though, and I admittedly didn't spend as much time w/ it. I'd say try 'em both, but I doubt you can go wrong w/ either.

I use Avast on my moms and sisters machine, but AVG on mine. If it's going to stop being updated, I wll go to avast.

does TPU automatically show new posts without having to hit refresh now?

Yes it does. I like it. ;-)
Also, AVAST! for me.

Been using Avast for years, best freebie out IMHO. Even works well on the Windows 7 Beta.
