Ok, So 150x150 is fine. but I almost can never get a picture small enough for the 19.5kb.

So my suggestion is increase the size. I dont mean like 1mb because you take 1mb and multiply that times say 15k yeah! we know the math its a lot.

Im saying increase it to maybe 35kb. most pics at 150x150 are about that.

Thank you

:respect:

I have never had a problem getting below 19.5kb.

Just a tip that I use:

Open the jpeg in paint, then press save. Exit and you usually find that the size has dropped by over half with no noticeable drop in image quality! :rockout:

I usually use image resizer software, take my current avatar for example, after resizing it, it was about 50k. after opening and saving in paint, it is now less than 6k! :D

yeah paint makes them alot smaller ;)

also used photobucket to make mine from its reg size

Use Irfanview.

There is a "save as" and you can select an option to LIMIT FILESIZE. It will do all the hardwork for you...

nope, cant get it to 19

Here you go.

Funny picture, lol

Though I have to admit, my usual procedure made it 28kb :wtf:

Ran it through my system again and it dropped to about 12k :rockout:

i think its fine. plenty of 150X150 avatars around at under 20kb

doesn't it take more site bandwidth or w/e to increase the kb size'?

i dunno

in photoshop, use save for web and devices instead of save as, you can easily easily limit it to 19.5kb without taking much of hit as long as your pic doesn't have all ike 256 colors in it.

<---- Ok :) thanks guys :)

just post your request on the forums and people will help you.... see my attachment for a 7.89 kb version of your image

My avatar takes 718 bytes. That's 0.70kB.
:slap:

saving them as 256 colours or jpeg ect should keep them under 20kb.

i got the point guys. it can be done.
