AZZA today rolled out the Overdrive open-air chassis. When viewed from a certain angle, it's supposed to resemble a V8 engine block—well at least one that's clad in copious amounts of plastic in today's performance cars. The chassis features a horizontally partitioned layout, with the bottom compartment housing its motherboard tray that can hold boards as large as E-ATX. All surfaces of the case are made of anodized aluminium, while its structural parts are SECC steel. The upward facing panels are tinted tempered glass.

The motherboard tray has room for graphics cards up to 40 cm in length, and CPU coolers only up to 8 cm in height. The idea probably here is to liquid-cool your CPU, as the case can mount a pair of 360 mm x 120 mm radiators along the bottom panels. The upper compartment has room for drives—two 3.5-inch, and four 2.5-inch—and liquid-cooling components such as pumps and reservoirs. Besides the two radiator mounts, you get a large 200 mm intake fan along the front. The case measures 440 mm x 570 mm x 590 mm (HxWxD), and dry-weighs 15 kg.

Update Apr 26th: AZZA announced US pricing of the case to be $599.99. The specs-sheet follows.

If it is paired with Cooler Master V8, it actually become an engine

This is a worthy nemesis for Cougar Conquer 1.

I like it, and it doesnt have the air restricting front glass panel.

Awesome.

Until you have to clean it.

Doesn't look like a V8 at all, IMO. Looks more like a flat 4 with the cylinder heads missing.

With the way it opens on the side, looks like one of those 20s cars with the side hoods and an I6 underneath IMO.

Just want to say it has no semblance of a V block, the blocks have a y-shape to them, and this case doesn't even have a v shape either, maybe if i squint.

"well at least one that's clad in copious amounts of plastic in today's performance cars." lolno plastic engine covers sit on top of the engine, and would certainly not be found on performance cars as their function is almost purely cosmetic i.e. dead weight, last thing wanted on a performance car.

hmmmmm
V-8 block

That thing loks more like a bunch of scrap sheet metal bent into some odd shapes and fastened together and called it artistic case.

Watched that JayZ video and you can do fantasy with this case. Quite cool, but it could have frontal panel or something.

Watching that... if you stick your CPU and GPU die onto that metal, isn't that an instant solution for passive gaming rigs?

Plus hot case :peace:

I smell a market! Especially with ICE vehicles getting replaced all over the world... :p

need active cooling? NP:

So... for mobility, this is your new laptop then. Aaahh progress

You may like it or not, but you can always say you spent 600 bucks on the case. ; )

You spent $600 on a dell case?

I'm honestly surprised your handler lets you on the internet unsupervised......

$600?? These companies must be having a field day knowing there's always a customer base NUTS-ENOUGH to pay that sort of cash.

I can't wait for a day when they stick a 3D printed GT spoiler on a Hard Disk with some light aerodynamic body work on the sides... put it up for a $1000 and watch the LOOSE NUTS go mad on it.

Well, it did come with everything else already inside. :p Although my handler was on vacation that day.
