In your experience what is the most dependable B250/H270 board to use for a non-gaming application? Also, are there any I should just avoid, why? Thanks.

I been doing a little research on this for my up-comming build bcs of features and specs I know that I got a "k" cpu but the motherboard I would like to go with a Z270 chipset at micro-atx form factor but MSI only offers B250 or H270 so I was wondering what the differences was myself.

After all this I would say if u need anything like 2xUSB 3.0 internal headers or smth else look at the H270 because it offers more than the B250 chipset when it comes PCI-E lanes which is not used for only running dual gpu configs but also for extra things like M.2. or PCI-E SSD's, Networking and more USB 3.0 ports (At least this matters to me)

Puma99dk,

A lot of boards are dependability depending on how they are treated, but there are also failures along the way from bad components you can't make a 110% guarantee that everything lasts forever.

What money are you planning on spending?

Personally I am looking at MSI's H270M Mortar Arctic for a build I would like to do.

I like the scheme for the board, and I had MSI in the past also Asus but when I buy a board I would never get a cheap board that lacks vrm cooling.
