I still have my 2600k but I remember when I first bought it I paired it up with an H70 I got for X-Mas 2010. The H70 was able to keep the 2600k at 73c while it was running Prime95 Blend at 4.8ghz with 1.345v.
Aircoolers like the Scythe Mugen 5 and Fuma are probably better than the old H70. I had an old Thermalright IFX-14 which beat the H70 by 5c on an overclocked Core i7-920 at 4.1ghz. The sky is the limit with Aircoolers so it depends on what you're willing to spend. From what I've seen the Fuma is probably the best value so I'd recommend that or the Mugen 5.
I bought the Fuma for my dad's system and I used it to replace an old H80 that he had. For fun I decided to run Prime 95 on his 3770k with both coolers and the Fuma beat the H80 by 1c at stock speed. The Fuma is pretty short for being a twin tower cooler but if you have RAM that has tall heatsinks then that can be an issue.
Personally I would be reluctant to by a Hyper 212 because I see these go on sale for $25 quite often. I bought one a couple years ago on a Cyber Monday sale for $15.
