well, as the title hints at, I'm looking for a new cooler. my current choices are the thermaltake v1, or the the arctic cooling freezer pro 64. I don't want to spend much more than the v1, and I don't want to spend more than the freezer pro unless there are some major performance improvements. >.>

it was the thermalright ultra 120 a few days ago, untill this one came along:

thats preety much like double the ultra 120 (well double the amount of fins and junk, though the new one has 8 pipes and the ultra has 6) with a heatsink to take heat away from under the core, which is suppossed to cool your mobo as well and increase its lifespan..

The Thermalright Ultra 120 is the best w/ the Tuniq Tower.
However, he is looking for one around the price range of an AC Freezer 7 Pro.
So thats why I suggested the Zerotherm

The AC Freezer can be a nice cooler if you modify it. I lapped mine to a mirror shine and put a "Tatty Turbo" on, which is a good 80mm fan on the back side of it.

All in all it keeps my Brisbane@ 45*C load, with 3.0GHZ and 1.45V

Very nice.

The main problem with the AC Freezer these days is that most places are selling them for $30+ dollars when they should only be $20.
B/c of that I went with the Zerotherm which gave me a slightly bigger fan, a copper heatsink, a nice red LED fan :) , and better performance.

If the AC Freezer was selling for $20 than it would be worth it :)
How much did the lapping drop temps btw?

lol for me the freezer pro is $23, so I was aiming about there lol. I really don't want to spend $50 dollars on a heatsink unless I can see a performance gap of like 10 degrees
