has to work with 64-bit Windows 7! I know (at least from what I can tell) many tuners are not working in Vista 64-bit so I need to know what will work for me!

I'm looking for a decent TV Tuner that will give me decent picture and sound preferably with no lag for realtime gaming. Actually it doesn't even need to be a TV tuner as I'll only use the AV capture. Pref S-Video but not required. USB, PCI or PCI-E 1x doesn't matter either.

I just want something decent that will easily work with 64-bit vista but not cost more than my video card!

Something with good support unlike the Adaptec Gamebridge I have now and can't get working. Oh if anyone know how to get one of those things working in my OS feel free to let me know that instead!

Thanks in advance ;)

sorry I missread going to look for capture cards.

after a bit of looking, I found the capture cards dont list vista support. the ATI 650 is still my suggestion.

Cool I was actually considering the ATi 650. I saw it worked with Vista 64-bit too. I would think if it works with Vista 64 it should work in Windows 7 64 too right?

Update:

I bought the Diamond ATi 650 today but had to get the PCI version. Its harder to find now for some reason newegg.ca had them last week but not now! I wanted the PCI-e version but took what I could find today. Anyway it didn't work for shi7 at first. I was worried but the video was all messed up only about 1/3rd of the screen was refreshing and the other parts were like black and white! I ended up changing the catalyst media center to run in Vista SP1 mode (I'm in 7 remember) and now it works perfectly!

Update the 2nd:

The lag between what goes in and what goes to the screen is killer! I mean I had no lag on my cheapo USB tuner before so I didn't think of this problem. I guess its common on most newer hardware accelerated (RT hardware encoded) tuners. I use this to record game footage and the lag makes even the most simple game impossible. You press jump and a full second later you see the guy jump... then you're dead!

Truth is I just hooked up a TV first, then to the TV tuner so I can watch and play the game on the TV while its recording so the 1 sec lag is irrelevant. But now for the next problem. The card only records compressed MPEG! I want uncompressed AVI!! I mean once again this would be fine for recording TV shows but I'm recording old game footage with lots of solid color and you can see the compression artifacts even on the best setting!!! I don't want compressed video to work with in editing! I want compressed video only when I'm done editing! What were these people at ATi thinking?? It was always an option on the older cards was it not?

Just a heads up for anyone looking at this or many other modern HW encoding tuners.
