Just wondered what brand you lot think has the best cooler stock, be it a reference or custom one, as in custom I mean like the MSI twin frozr, not a customer fitted after market cooler.

vote and let's see how it pans out.

Feel free to discuss Graphics card coolers in here too :)

My last couple video cards have all been MSI and they've been great. I have a reference 6870 and a TwinFrozr 6870 and while the TwinFrozr offers good temps with it and was almost silent, the reference cooler doesn't matter because it should be the same from vendor to vendor for any kind of video card.

Easily MSI IMO

The cooler on my 560 ti twin frozr is very good, quiet and keeps the temps on the card cool.

The Asus cooler seems very good as well, though I prefer 2 rather than 3 slots.

I prefer Sapphire's Dual X cooling myself, both my 6870 and 7870 utilize them and temps have never gone above 65C while doing WCG/F@H

2 of your cards in the last few weeks came in with overheating problem they were out of warranty. Both cards were still 100% okay just the fan bearing failed on them. And to be honest probably not even Msi fault those cards were dusty as hell...guess dust came into the bearing slowly and helped destroying it faster.

Had some reference ATI cards fail they fan too same for very rare Nvidia cards mostly old 2xx series.

The DC2 cooler on the mid range cards 670gtx for example are very good absolutely silent and have good temps.

You didn't specify if it was strictly to air cooling, if that wasn't the case well then the Powercolor LCS is hands down the best :)

If it's only air cooling well then Sapphire makes damn good cooling solutions.

The best one should be the Gigabyte Windforce 450W though.

All Aboard to the bending ship.

I really like XFX's DD solution with heatpipes.

Yes it is air cooling only.

Thanks for reply's guys, looks like the computer says MSI at the moment.

computer says NO!

for style and substance i like asus epsecialy the looks of their new designs (the 780), i like the look of the lightning and twinfrozrs II also

the palit jetstream looks good, not sure on its capability tho.

windforces look ugly to me, but then theres the Igame bunch which look noice!

and nvidias new aircooling solution looks sleek as hell

I wondered if anyone would get the "computer says" thing.

My Sparkle Calibre nVidia GeForce GTX 670 has a damn nice cooler :)

yea that msi 780 does look great, i am a bit of an asus fan boy but only because i like the way they look. if i had money to buy many cards the msi would be second choice and then maybe saphirre

and i dont know why asus get such a bad time and pure hatred, every manufacturer has its bad points. for me i cant go wrong with the DCII, always first choice since i was a kid.

ive owned 4 asus cards and they cool brilliantly and look great! i even believe they set the trend on direct touch technology and always seem to be leading innovation.

i am really tempted on buying that asus gtx 780

ASUS is probably the most popular brand and being popular attracts a lot of hate, also having many customers means proportionally more unsatisfied customers.

You don't really see happy people with functioning products whine on the internet.

As someone said, for each one whiny, loud and unsatisfied customer there are more than 1000 happy and quiet :toast:

I'm an ASUS fanboy too and I'm not hiding it, their products are killer.

I like the Sapphire cooler on the Radeon HD 5750/6670 cards (it may be on others as well). Cool, silent and easy to clean.
