x850xt...end of story as long as u dont care about sm3.
if u want the sm3 save up a lil bit and get a x1800xt or a 7900gt

ati x850xt, hands down, unless sm3.0 which case the cheaper 7600

but i agree with kenny, save up, and get a 7900gt, they have some to 250$ sometimes, and they are awesome cards!

Have a x1800xt 256. Im on my second one the first quit on me. Also the new one doesn't overclock well and is having troubles with compatability in elder scrolls. So I was thinking of getting a cheaper card. I think my motherboard and the x1800xt don't play well together. I had a x800xt pe before and it had gamma resetting trouble. After game play I would alway have to reset the gamma. I was under the impression the 7600gt was faster than the x850 series and had pixiel shader 3. Am i wrong about this?

I just have a agp slot and pci express slot on my ascrack motherboard
