nothing you can do. doesnt 9200 only have 64mb? battlefield 2 minimum requirements are at least 128mb. im surprised you acctually played bf2 on that card. i say save up a couple of $ and see what ebay has to offer. try to get something in 128-256mb area. if its a geforce, make sure its better than 5700. if its ati make sure its above 8500. thats what the box states. also check ur directx.
on a personal note, if u wanna try deleting or moving the battlefield 2 intro movie files, maybe that will help? these files are located in
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies , you can move or delete all the files except menu.bik and menu_loggedin.bik

Meh my major beef is about the 2 new unlocks that were "supposed" to be for SF(which I play mostly)they aren't even IN SF!! they are just vapourware that exist only in vanilla BF2.

Most 9200 have 128 MBs of RAM, there even are 256MBs versions (waste of memory if you ask me).
I used to have one (the 64 bit 9200SE ) and could play BF2 at 800x600 after lowering most effects, sure it doesn't look good, but you get a very smooth gameplay experience. The graphic detail for this game scales very well at lower levels.
Anyway, 1.21 will be out in a couple of weeks to patch all the problems caused by the 1.20 patch.

You can grab a Radeon 9500/9700 pretty cheap these days. Look around on craigslist in your area, and ebay. Cheap upgrade from a Geforce 2/3/4 or a 9200SuckyEdition

well if you're lookin for a cheap card go for the 9800 series, i had a 9800pro 256mb and it was great. That thing could handle anything you through at it and more...

Actually 512 mb of ram makes BF2 VERY choppy. I had to run 512 mb of ram with my 6800 and 2.2 GHz Sempron 64 for about a week, and it was crap. I didnt even bother playing because it ran so bad.

Yeah 1GB doesn't do it any more unless every other componite in your computer is top of the line. I would have at least 1.5GB for these new games coming out.

1 gb is fine for any system. My friend has a P4 2.4 GHz and a 9600 Pro. He runs BF2 at medium settings, and he used to have 512 mb of ram and it was unplayable. He got another 512 around xmas and it runs perfectly now, no stuttering or loading.

Putting 1.5 gb of ram into a comp will prob hurt performance worse than increase it, as with 3 dimms you lose dual channel, and you have to use looser timings.

I disagre.. I think that adding another 512 of ram will incress performance over all, even if you losse dual channle support. I think that 512mb of ram will overcome the loss of dual channle and timmings. People think that timmings are every thing nowadays but they really arnt.

Not saying that have really tight timings is bad but some system perform better with loss timmings comparied to tight timmings.
