I agree with that. I'm on an 8meg connection, so speed isn't a problem, but I think sig pics look ugly and are pointless. I'd prefer they went away altogether myself - they at least need to be smaller IMO.

I don't mind avatars, but sigs just annoy me.
I'm also on 8Mbit/s, but it sometimes gets bogged down by a page with hundreds of images that AREN'T made into thumbnails, and then the avatars and sigs just make it worse.
Hell, even on 1680x1050, I'm unable to have more than maybe 3-4 one-line posts on screen at once, because people insist on a tall sig pic, with like 4 lines of text after it.
Still, sigs should remain as they are, it's better than having sigs with 16 lines of text, 4 pictures, and then having a flashing banner ad between each post to pay off the server costs.

I disagree. Though I do think that if you are going to have a sig either make it one or the other (a image OR text) not both.

I agree. Big sigs= more scrolling, also i'm on a 400kb/s connection, so it takes longer to load.
