What do you think the biggest bottleneck in my gaming system is?
Thank you,
DarkEgo

Your CPU would be my answer... My performance with the 3870x2 went sky-high when i bought the E8400 instead of my old E7200 (double the cache).

My advice: Get a E8400 or E8500...

Ohh... and get some extra ram. (2gig or something like that) ;)

I still say the HDD. It's not that the drive you have is slow, just that it's the slowest component in your system.

Im using 3gig of ram with x86 Vista Ultimate and im using no pagefile. The only thing ive found that requires a pagefile is Guitar Hero3 on PC. Other than that pagefile FTL.

Honestly i think your system is fine :/ If your still running XP and you have no desire to run DX10/Vista then no need getting 4gig.

looks to me like a great budget gaming system, you could add a bit more ram but it looks fine to me at 4.0ghz that e7200 is not bottle necking your gpu.
