Hello!

I flashed my Club3D ATI Radeon 9550 256MB to an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. Normal core: 250/200x2 and flashed: 400/200x2. Temperatures after flashing: 40 C load!

My FPS in game is better and higher than before, only i have one problem. When i go to my motherboard bios it looks like i have a big lag, the bios is very slow with loading. It looks like someone is writing all settings and menu's down...
I tried to upgrade/downgrade my bios version but nothing helps. I hadnt this problem before flashing my videocard. New or older Display Drivers doesn't work. Can i fix this problem without flashing my card back? How?

Thanks!

My system specs are:

Asus P4P800 SE Motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 3Ghz
2x Kingston 512MB DDR PC3200
ATI Radeon 9550 @ 9600 Pro

Yes i tried a different bios (there are two biosses for me). My pc is not slow, and my bios wasnt slow either. The booting isnt faster or slower than before flashing my card, only my motherboard bios is very slow... when i use an other card my bios speed is normal and everything loads very fast!

I've seen the same symptoms while flashing my 9550. I believe it has something to do with the memory timings... Check both VGA BIOS's with RaBit and try increasing some of the memory timings toward your old BIOS timings.

Thanks for your help!

i found these differences:

9550:
Row Precharde Time: 4
Write Recovery Time: 3
Shift of ERST signal for READ data -0.5
Shift of QSREQQ signal: -0.5

9600:

Row Precharde Time: 5
Write Recovery Time: 2
Shift of ERST signal for READ data +0
Shift of QSREQQ signal: +0

When i set my new bios settings to the old bios setting the problem would be gone?

I used the 9550 settings on the 9600 Bios, but my bios is still laggy...

I put my oldbios back on and my motherboard bios is faster than ever! :p

What could be the problem? Cause all Timing settings are the same

Mmmm. What I did with my Gigabyte 9550 was change the ID of the original BIOS to 4152 (I think) in RaBit and flash it back again. Windows sees it as 9600 and I can overclock. That's all that worked for me so maybe you have the same problem?

i used my old bios, changed 9550 to 9600 and changed the core from 250 @ 400. When i reboot my pc i get this error in a blue screen: fysiek memory dump. So i changed the bios back to the original and my pc booted fine, like you see im now in windows again :p

What could be the problem of this, cause it worked fine, EVEN MY MB BIOS!! But now the problem is i couldnt get in windows :S

i found this:

9550 Device ID: 4153

9600 Device ID: 4150

When i change nothing but only the Device ID to 4150 my MB Bios lags.

I'm having the same problem, with the same motherboard. My P4P800 SE is lagging when I flash the BIOS too. Even if I just dump my original 9550 BIOS and change the device ID, BIOS lags. My card is a Built By ATI Radeon 9550 XL 256MB AGP, and I've tried flashing to every BIOS that matched its specs. Let me know if you get this working... Thanks
